  1. Definitely. Parra should also be the opening day starter.
  2. Hard to say. Last time they were in the playoffs they were an 8th seed playing the Pistons and there were plenty of seats in the upper deck. Of course the Bucks had no chance in that series and played pretty badly down the stretch. Obviously when they were the #2 seed in 2001, the games sold out. I guess I'd compare this season to the 02-03 season or the 03-04 season. Bucks were the 7th seed playing the Nets in 2003 (but only 7 games behind the Nets in the regular season), first game there were about 1,000 empty seats, second game there were about 400 empty seats and the last game was sold out. ----- Continued here: viewtopic.php?f=67&t=30589
  3. Yeah. I didn't mind the needles, I've never minded needles, they don't really bother me, so I was fine with that. I just wish they would've told me that the freezing wouldn't have made any difference. Here they are saying okay the freezing will work in about 5 minutes, you might feel a slight tug, but it won't hurt. So they come back in and I'm expecting to feel a tug and instead I have a pain that shoots from my toe up through my leg. I flinch and the doctor says "oh, does that hurt?" No, I flinched for no reason, moron.
  4. That's the playoff slogan we're using on realgm. Pretty much the whole board is using that slogan in some way in our sigs.
  5. What? Jamison plays for the Cavs. The Celtics were at full strength and the Bucks were only missing Stackhouse. Love Jennings trash talking to Garnett when they're walking through the tunnels. KG is a biggest trash talker in the game and usually goes after guards because he's bigger than them. Whenever anyone goes after him (especially guys his size) he shuts his mouth and backs away like a wimp. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AeOBsWBZbGc
  6. How is that any different from what the Brewers have done? Granted the Rays have picked higher, but it's not like the Brewers haven't had their share of top 10 picks (Fielder, Weeks, Sheets, LaPorta, Braun, Rogers). And I would argue that the Rays have missed on their fair share of top picks. In their franchise history they have picked Josh Hamilton, Rocco Baldelli, Dewon Brazelton, B.J. Upton, Delmon Young, Jeff Niemann, Wade Townsend, Evan Longoria, David Price and Tim Beckham with top 10 picks. Hamilton was let go because of drug addiction, Baldelli was never that impressive, Brazelton was a bust, Upton has been up and down just like Weeks, Young is a bust, Niemann has been pretty good, Townsend got hurt and then released, Longoria is a stud, Price is a great young talent who will probably be very good, very soon and Beckham has been less than impressive in two years in the minors. That's pretty similar drafting, but when has Melvin ever gone out and traded for a pitcher like Matt Garza? When has he ever traded a good hitting prospect for a good pitching prospect?
  7. Lunardi posted his updated bracket. Gonzaga drops to a 7 seed playing Marquette in Oklahoma City. Wisconsin stays as a 4 seed in Spokane facing San Diego State. 5 seed is Texas A&M. Just looking at the bracket the Badgers are in according to this, I think they could make it to the Elite 8. 1. Syracuse 2. Kansas State 3. New Mexico 4. Wisconsin 5. Texas A&M 6. Maryland 7. Gonzaga 8. Northern Iowa 9. Florida State 10. Marquette 11. Utah State 12. Arizona State 13. San Diego State 14. Weber State 15. UC-Santa Barbara 16. Quinnipiac Other than Syracuse, there isn't a team that scares me and there isn't a team that I think the Badgers couldn't beat.
  8. I think it knocks them down to a 6 or 7 and away from Spokane. At the very least they're not playing in Spokane or at least I hope that's the case.
  9. That and the 700 times he and Brian were talking about how there was still snow in Wisconsin, but it was melting. We know, guys. We're here and we've been here for a while and this happens every year at this time. You don't need to tell us.
  10. The problem is Wisconsin is Gonzaga's only win against a ranked team. As you mentioned, they got destroyed by Duke and they lost to Michigan State. After Wisconsin, what's their next most impressive win? Memphis? St. Mary's? Portland? Just a big meh to all of those. If Gonzaga wouldn't have been a mid major power for the last 10 years, we would be talking about them as an 8 or 9 seed in the tournament based on their resumé.
  11. Gonzaga as a 5 seed as it is is a joke, giving them home games as that high of a seed is a bigger joke. Another one that I think is a joke is Kansas State as a #2 seed playing in Oklahoma City. Wisconsin has pretty much the same record (23-7 for Wisconsin vs 23-6 for Kansas State). They both have similar bad losses (UWGB and Iowa State) Kansas State has also lost to Mississippi on a neutral court, @ Missouri, vs Oklahoma State and Kansas twice once at home and once on the road. Wisconsin has also lost to Gonzaga on a neutral court, @ Michigan State, @ Ohio State without Leuer, @ Purdue without Leuer, vs Illinois without Leuer and @ Minnesota with that being Leuer's first game back. Each team is 7-3 in their last 10 games although two of Kansas State's losses were to Kansas and the other was a bad loss to Iowa State. Wisconsin lost to Purdue on the road and Illinois at home (without Leuer) and at Minnesota in Leuer's first game back. It's pretty clear how important Leuer is to Wisconsin as they lost at home to Illinois and then came back with Leuer against Illinois on the road and beat them by double digits. Kansas State's best wins on the year are Xavier, Dayton, UNLV and Texas. Wisconsin's best wins on the year are Duke, Maryland, Purdue and Michigan State. So how does that make Kansas State a 2 seed within driving distance of their projected location and Wisconsin a 5 seed having to play 1,700 miles away and likely playing a road game if they advance to the 2nd round.
  12. 12-1, hawing. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. Cain with a triple to the deepest part of the park in right center.
  14. Some good and bad from Rivas in his first inning. He gives up two doubles to Dexter Fowler doubled, Paul LoDuca reached on a Joe Inglett error and Ryan Spilborghs doubled to open up the inning and make it 4-2. Spilborghs then got caught stealing 3rd and Rivas got Troy Tulowitzki to pop out to George Kottaras and Melvin Mora to ground out to Brett Lawrie.
  15. Lawrie triples off Rockies top prospect Jhoulys Chacin.
  16. Brewers score 1 in the 1st. Counsell singles, Gerut triples him home.
  17. He has a torn ligament in his shoulder. Needless to say, he's going to be out for a while. Edit: Surgery could be career threatening.
  18. To be fair, Minnesota never should've gotten that breakaway on their first goal. That puck came out of the zone, was brought back into the zone, went back out and then a pass was whiffed on which led to the breakaway. It should've been whistled offsides when it was brought back into the zone.
  19. Nice win against the Goofers. St. Cloud State lost, so I believe the Badgers will finish 2nd in the WCHA.
  20. Yes Villa gave up the run. Davis doubled then Ellis singled.
  21. Quick 1-2-3 1st inning for Yo with a strikeout.
