  1. Seattle (of course!) picked him up. He's OPSing .734 in Tacoma.
  2. They had lost Weeks and Koskie to injury and Hardy earlier in the year. Of course they were getting Sheets and Ohka back near the deadline, but basing your moves on the small chance that you can make the playoffs at that point wasn't very smart. Especially since we were hovering between four and seven games under .500 from a week before the trade deadline up until July 31st.
  3. You don't remember the trading deadline in 2006? It was seriously awful. Trading Lee and Cruz for Mench, Cordero, Nix and the minor league Cordero. Trading JDLR for Graffanino. Traded Wilfredo Laureano for David Bell. Melvin seriously thought the Brewers could still go for a playoff spot that year.
  4. I would like to start a petition to get the title of the thread changed to WOAHs. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I'm not sure what solution we could have other than possibly DFAing Gerut and calling up someone from Nashville.
  5. I'm pissed at Braun for swinging at the first pitch after Arroyo loads the bases with a walk. He's some kind of awful right now.
  6. Link Suspension for an amphetamine goes through the rest of the season.
  7. Gallardo was also going nearly six innings in each appearance. Braddock is going less than two innings per appearance. That's a pretty big difference.
  8. Not even close. Bedard is in the middle of the pack in type B's right now and it's unlikely he'd be able to make it to type A. Washburn wouldn't offer any compensation. So not only do we give up the guy under control longer, due to Hardy's current type A status, we would also lose a pick. It's probably an upgrade this year, but in the long term, it's a pretty significant downgrade.
  9. Just ridiculously awful lineups Macha has been running out there. Literally the two worst options to hit at the top of the order he's been using for the past week or so.
  10. I have a soft spot for my puppy too. Not a puppy anymore, but this is when she was one. http://i195.photobucket.com/albums/z217/trwi7/pic.jpg
  11. If I had to guess I would say it's a combination of an off night, getting back into a routine and facing better hitters.
  12. This Marimon guy for Idaho Falls has absolutely no command. He can't throw it over the plate and when he does, it's right down the middle. Helena leads 4-0 with one out in the 2nd and the bases loaded. Edit: He's now out of the game.
  13. Just watching it on the internet. At least I was until my feed went out.
  14. Wish there was a radar gun. Bucci looks like he's throwing pretty hard. Edit: Bucci just carved up a Chukars hitter on three pitches right after he fell behind 3-1 on a hitter and then came back to strike him out.
  15. Dykstra with a 2 run single. Fell behind in the count 0-2 and lined a single up the middle after working it back to 3-2 I believe.
  16. Would we even want to re-sign him? Some team is going to give him at least $10 million over four years. Not a smart move with his injury history.
  17. I don't like that deal. Both are free agents at the end of the season, Bedard is projected to be a type B free agent and Washburn wouldn't garner any compensation right now so we'd only get one pick. J.J. has another year and a half before free agency and is a projected type A free agent right now. We're trading more controlled years and better compensation for more salary is an awful deal for us.
  18. I agree. At the very least, if you are going to make it for home field advantage, at least take the best players and not have the rule where one player from every team has to go.
  19. What about bacon? That's a good use.
  20. I love guinea pigs. Had them all the time growing up.
  21. Wheel and Sprocket. One of the most annoying commercials ever.
  22. Yeah, WSSP has a couple for Silk Exotic and Encore.
  23. He looked good. Jennings looked great though. A number of great passes and a ton of steals. Got posted up by Evans a number of times since Evans has a ton of size on Jennings, but he also forced a ton of turnovers from Evans as well.
