Gamel with one of the best at bats of the night. I wonder if Macha was watching.

I would like to be privy to this information if at all possible. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I don't understand why Narveson was taken out. We're down 5, save your bullpen as much as possible.

Haudricourt's twitter rocks. How does Hohn even get the mask over that moustache. It's so bushy, it appears to be blocking his eye sight as well.
  6. trwi7
Oh wow, they just showed a side view of Gallardo's called strike three. He wasn't even close to going. This umpire is a complete joke. Somebody fire his stupid ass. Edit: That umpire should be fired for that mustache alone.

    This umpire is terrible.

    Hit hard right at Ankiel.
  9. trwi7
He's averaging more innings than Sheets did last year.

This is going to be the next topic on Around the Horn. Just a heads up. Cowlishaw, Marriotti and Plaschke agree with Melvin. Don't think hitters should call out the pitching. Should know that Melvin and his staff is working hard to get pitching. Doesn't need a player to tell him that. Got Sabathia last year, worked out pretty well for them etc. Paige agrees with Braun. Shows team leadership.

Yeah, Dillard is on the 40 man. I don't think it's Heether, since that would mean that Gamel is getting sent down and if that were to happen it likely would have happened during the off day yesterday. My guess is there's a trade right now or they're preparing for one in the coming weeks and keeping a spot open since there's really no good reason to have Koshansky on the 40 man.

    Wasn't it Erik Cordier?

I don't think anybody is anti-Vazquez. They're just anti-Vazquez if it's going to cost Gamel, Escobar or Lawrie.
  14. trwi7
I think any Halladay deal starts with Escobar and Lawrie and then start adding pitching prospects like Anundsen, Peralta and Odorizzi. This guy is better than Sabathia and signed longer. You're going to need top prospects. Not two guys struggling right now, one of which is going to be a free agent the same year as Halladay.

Have you seen how good Ben Zobrist has been this year?

Didn't Braun use a small sample only referring to the Cubs series? I didn't hear him saying anything after Burns gave a quality start against New York. I just think Braun made a mistake about going public with this. Everyone knows the problems with this team, obviously Melvin knows so why does Braun have to say it? When the best pitcher available right now is probably Doug Davis there's not a lot of pitching in the market and with more teams looking for pitching than there are good pitchers available right now, then it's pretty obvious why there's no moves being made. Guys like Davis are being overvalued because they're the best in a weak market. It's not a smart move for the Brewers or any team to overpay for a guy like Davis.

Hart and Hardy doesn't even get close to Halladay. Start with at least two top prospects and add a few more good prospects and Toronto starts to listen.
  18. trwi7
I think he was saying the Brewers also spent money to keep one of the better CF's in the game around. I could be wrong though.
  19. trwi7
I think it's safe to say Doug Melvin isn't the biggest Ryan Braun fan right now.
  20. trwi7
No he's not. Look at the lineup he faced. Alex Cora Fernando Tatis David Wright Gary Sheffield Ryan Church Nick Evans Fernando Martinez Omir Santos Johan Santana He's not going to be facing lineups that bad very often.

Courtesy of BCB by way of DRays Bay. And I believe X Ellence said the Brewers changed his delivery after they got him which is why he struggled last year.

Even if that we true, at least we had a minor league system to raid. Me 1 Brenly 0

At least we can take solace in the fact that he won't get the girl. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Bigger man crush. Daron Sutton on David Eckstein or Brian Anderson on Sam Fuld?
