  1. Learn something new everyday. Brian Anderson lives about 15 minutes away from me. Wouldn't have known it at all if he hadn't mentioned Swallow Elementary going to Weather Day at the game yesterday.
  2. Brian either doesn't understand what the definition of a free swinger is or he has no idea who Justin Upton is and what kind of hitter he is.
  3. Well this is lovely. I don't have the MLB Network.
  4. Texas also has Derek Holland who is currently in their bullpen. I would take him over everybody in our rotation except Gallardo in the future.
  5. I'm still pissed that there's no Brewers Squeeze Play. Seriously, a replay of the Girls High School basketball tournament? Who the hell wants to watch that?
  6. Yeah, it was the same strike zone for each side. If you look at his strike zone on gameday, you would see that on the right handed hitters side he was allowing pitches off the corner that were called strikes and he was tight on the left handed hitters side. It was called the exact same both ways. Snell got his fair share of calls on that corner.
  7. Eight hits given up in four innings for Cody Adams. I mentioned this back in the Border Battle link report, but he really disappointed me. Upper 80s on his fastball and way too hittable. This is 18 hits in 14 innings for a college pitcher in A ball.
  8. I agree with this. One way to get rid of the depth in AAA is to call Dillard up to give our bullpen another multi-inning reliever. I don't think he's going to make it as a starter. He strikes out way too little batters, that's fine if you're getting a ton of ground balls, but he's not doing that either.
  9. I parked at the Marcus Center parking structure at 130 E. State Street. It was $6. About Major Goolsbys, bring your ticket there after the game and you get a free beer.
  10. http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_iTjEBV7UdlA/SYuxQFBtAkI/AAAAAAAAACg/qvsRh4A6u8g/s320/we+suck.jpg
  11. New picture on the Journal-Sentinel homepage. http://media.jsonline.com/images/375*332/mjs-fans.jpg That school opened a year before I went to sixth grade. That place was so awesome compared to one hallway Lakeside which was falling apart. We always had awesome field trips too.
  12. I should add that the Admirals only had 3,022 for game one of the series against Rockford and 5,109 for game two. Back in 2006 when they made it to the Calder Cup Finals, they averaged 2,859 in round one against Iowa, 3,567 in round two against Houston, 3,584 in round three against Grand Rapids and 5,685 in the Finals against Hershey. Really, the only time you get crowds that are any higher than maybe 7,000 is when they're doing something for charity, for example, they sold seats in the upper level for $3, $2 from each seat for those tickets was given to the MACC Fund, the attendance for that game was 10,316. The other times you get crowds is when they play Chicago or when they give something away or have a concert. Some more examples. Average attendance when they played Chicago: 6,881. BoDeans concert attendance: 10,026. Darius Rucker concert attendance: 9,154. Styx concert attendance: AHL season high 15,602.
  13. Really? I would take Masteron and Buchholz over Kennedy every day of the week. We would definitely need to add much more in addition to Stetter to get either Masterson or Buchholz though.
  14. Who plays CF? Why would we want a guy who has been terrible and who strikes out about as many major league hitters as I do?
  15. There were a couple of sweet game 7s last night. First Washington scores late in the 3rd to beat the Rangers 2-1 and then Carolina scores twice in the last 1:20 to beat New Jersey 4-3. My Stanley Cup Finals prediction is still there. Come on Carolina, just upset Boston. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  16. It's minor league hockey, the weather is starting to get nicer and the Brewers are in town. Trust me, there will be plenty of tickets available. I went to the playoff game against Rockford a couple Saturdays ago, asked for a couple tickets on the south goal side since the Admirals attack that zone twice and got tickets in section 204, row M. http://milwaukeeadmirals.com/home/tickets/mainParagraphs/05/image/website-seating-chart.gif
  17. I'm sure sportsbubbler will have the interview with Anundsen (whenever it takes place) archived either the night of the interview or the next day in case anybody misses it and wants to hear it.
  18. Just walk up and get tickets before the game. Just ask for the best available and they're no worse than what you get on ticketmaster or any other site.
  19. I agree it's annoying, but not nearly as annoying as the people who can't sing singing the Subway five dollar foot long commercial.
  20. Come on out to the ballpark tomorrow folks. It's Randall Simon Day.
  21. We have a .781 OPS with RISP this year. Tied for 13th in the majors. Other sortable stats here.
