Boys in blue, give me A big win to chase away the 9 to 5 blues.

Bernie nabs a ball Off the bat of Billy Hall Slides to lead us all.

woo woo 4-2, wtg Menchkins! Catching Brewer fever yet??
  4. lukevan
and now the Brewers will likely be 14-9 with their opponents outscoring them on the season.

Braun's time should be soon, I think he just about past the 20 or 21 days we need for him to earn that extra season of arbitration. He's been apparently making the throws to 1B, so I think we will see him before June anyway.

Cap is keeping us in it. Let's get him some offense, no more of the Ben Sheets treatment!

after a really _______ day, it'd be nice to see the Brewers beat 'Walt tonight. Go Brewers! Gabe Gross 2-3, HR, 2B, 3 RBI

boy, Yo's stats looking good for Nashville. Nice to see him making a seamless transition. how many people would've guessed Hardy would be leading us in BA, HR and RBI, and Sheets had given up the MOST earned runs out of all of our starters, AND we'd be 13-7 and three games clear?

this is seeming more and more like a special team with each inning that passes.

Jenkins on Rome today, sweet. Karma. nice! hopefully Rome doesn't call him "Geoff-ina" or something http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Rnome probably didn't eve know who Jenkins was until his producer told him he'd be interviewing him.

lol, the Cubs fans at northsidebaseball.com are in rare form this morning.

hotel front desk employee here also. some people just get so coddled in their comfortable lifestyle that they lose sight of the fact that the people working to serve them are, indeed, people themselves. you'd think these people would worry about what these employees will say about them once they are out of ear shot, but that doesn't stop them. most of the time, I calm myself by remembering that these people are just idiots and they can't help themselves, and it's my job to ease their struggle through the world http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

un - effen - believable! I thought we were dead in the water at 4-0. I'm a believer! Yost has made two bullpen decisions that worked out!

I assumed they had Coco getting ready last night just in case they took the lead in the bottom of the 8th.

awesome, awesome, AWESOME VARGAS!! K's the side after loading the bases.

Same ol' Brewers I don't know everyone else felt, but I did not feel safe at 5-4 in the 6th, no matter what Yost would've done. I don't blame Yost for bringing in Aquino at all. The Reds really wanted this game tonight, you could tell by the players' reactions. It's one loss. 4-3 road trip is okay by me, sure we had a good shot of taking this one tonight, but you aren't going to win all of your one run games going into the late innings.

Woohoo, first place again! Good to see the offense carry us to a win, and to see Hall break out in a huge way.
  18. lukevan
I love when we spot Sheeter early runs! A smaller strikezone should benefit Sheets over the course of the game I would think.

I guess I don't see benching Hall as that big of a deal. If he starts sitting twice a week, then I'd become concerned. I also don't think this is a strict performance-based benching-for-the-night. Sitting could help Hall take some of the pressure off himself for his next game. It would be great to see Hall playing 3rd though instead of Graffy. 2B Weeks SS Hardy 1B Fielder 3B Hall CF Gross LF Jenkins RF Hart C Estrada Seriously, who doesn't hit HRs in that lineup? EDIT: had Gross in lineup twice.

    nevermind found it

    OK, I tried to reverse jinx the Brewers yesterday but it didn't work so here goes with predicting a Brewers victory tonight: Brewers 9 Marlins 6 Vargas 5.2 IP, 5 ER, 7 H, 2 BB, 3 K Fielder 2 for 4, HR, 2 RBI Jenkins 2 for 4, HR Weeks 3 for 3, SB, 2B, 2 R Turnbow IP, 2 K, 1 H Cordero, IP, 2 K, Save

first road series should be interesting. I don't think I can survive another season in which we win one out of three on the road. I think the thing on everyone's mind for tonight is can Craig Counsell get the cycle tonight?
  23. lukevan
    Brewers 8 Cubs 4 Jenkins 3 for 4, HR, 2B, 2 RBI Fielder 2 for 3, HR, 2 R, 1 RBI, 2 BB Capuano 7 IP, 3 ER, 7 H, 5 K, 1 BB I was close http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif I think Jamie's lovebug was the key though.

We also have confirmation of a guaranteed Brewer victory from this man: http://i.a.cnn.net/si/2005/writers/lang_whitaker/06/06/the.links/p1_rasheed.jpg

So, lukevan, where were you Friday and Saturday? We needed you then. Yeah, I dropped the ball. I'll take the blame. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Either that or I'm just so omniscient that I knew the Brewers were going to lose and couldn't bring myself to pick against them http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
