    Hart should have batted, and Turnbow should be in right now

    Bunt Counsel and you have Hart and Weeks with chances... I hate to question every single move.... but Ned is just not making any sense to me. I don't mind it if CV has 1 or even 2 innings, but the last inning he looked out of gas.

    CV is pretty much on empty. I say pinch hit Corey and you should be able to get 2 innings from Turnbow barring an inning with a ton of pitches.

    Do we pinch hit Hart for CV? I would say yes, then you have Turnbow for 2 innings and pray to god we score by that time.

    This half inning is the game in my opinion... if CV can get through the meat of their order it would be huge.

    Cubs may be in better shape with their pen than we are. Cubs have Cotts and Dempster left, we basically only have Turnbow

    For as much of a light hitting, don't have enough strength to swing a bat, goofy stanced, stick figure, string bean, couldn't hit his foot with a brick type of guy Counsel is ........ ........... HE SURE IS CLUTCH!!!

    Why waste Graffy??? There are two OF's left and Graffy the only infielder, why not pinch hit Hart or Mench? Nothing Ned has done tonight makes sense.

    Gross didn't try to move the runners over. He tried to bunt for a hit the second pitch. Don't think there was any intention of a sacrifice.

    Oh... this completely makes sense now. If we would have batted a righty and got a hit, he would have had to pull Dessens and tire out the pen. You play for NOW. We had a chance to score there, which may not come along again. Then all that planning doesn't mean jack.

    Ned sure did the scrubs a favor there, I can't find any logic to explain that. He's leaving our 5th outfielder in to face the lefty, when our better hitting right handed OF's sit on the pine. There is NO logical explanation for that.

    Pulls Mench in the 9th the other day to bat Gross with the game on the line, and now leaves Gross in to face a lefty??? Don't get it.

    Zambrano at 86 pitches... barring a quick inning we'll have 3 innings against their bullpen. Need to be patient next inning and make him throw some pitches
