    Yo shutout in tact through 5 innings .... 10 Strikeouts now. He has thrown quite a few pitches though... probably will not go many more innings.

    Braun's HR's came off of Chan Ho Park.... With Sandy Alomar Jr. catching... Interesting combo for a AAA team.

    Could have a lot to do with Suppan being on the mound. He a guy who pitches to contact, not a big strike out guy. Plus with Suppan going against his old team, Yost may have wanted a solid defense behind him. At this point Hall's bat isn't making up for his play in the field. I'm not sure why, but I really have no problem with this move at all. I was more offended early in the season when Yost sat Hart for two straight days.

    Really.... how long has it been since we've had backups good enough to cause a debate over playing time... shows the teams improved depth if nothing else. In past seasons if the starters were in a slump they were still better than the backups.

    Minor injury could be a possibility. I was also wondering if they are trying to get Jenks/Mench/Gross more playing time early so teams can get a look at them for a possible trade... just a thought.

    Philly on top of Houston. I seen a replay of the single that gave Philly the lead. It was a bloop to left that made C. Lee look like he was running in sand trying to get to it.

    Cubs/Reds scoreless in the 4th. Rich Hill's ERA is currently 0.82 .... but he's a cub.... so I'm going to predict that in about 3 weeks his arm actually falls right off.

    Do you mean infield singles? If it includes balls through the hole into the outfield, do they just list whoever it was closest to?

    Gagne actually coming in for the save.... nothing like getting tossed into the fire your first game back. I thought they would have got him a game or two with less pressure.

    I thought I heard somewhere that Gagne was going to pitch an inning in tonights game... I'm interested to see that, I picked him up late in my draft and stashed him on the DL.

    Cubs lost, Pitt losing, and Philly coming back against Houston... Could be a good night for the Crew without even playing.

    Just showed the stadium on TV... appeared to be still raining. I have no problem with Yost sitting Hall. Maybe he needs a wakeup call. Like it was already stated, it's not like one phase of his game is poor right now. He's struggled in almost every aspect of the game.

    This is the first of 23 straight games against division opponents... Seems like an awful lot in a row. Seems like a better chance for rain tomorrow. They only have "up to 1/2 inch" for tonight.
