with all due respect, Aquino was very very good before this outing... Except for allowing like 3 of 4 inherited runners to score. Exactly... his ERA is good, he's killing other pitcher's ERA.... he has been terrible with inherited runners.
Is it just me, or are the Brewers forcing opposing pitchers into making a lot of pitches early on this season? I agree. Especially Weeks lately. Seems like Brewer hitters this year are not afraid to hit with 2 strikes on them. There have been a ton of deep counts. Just checked and we are currently 16th in strikeouts so far. Much better than leading the league like last season.
With Dempster in his 2nd inning, anyone know who the Scrubbies have left in their pen? I thought that the announcers said with the roster move they only had 11 pitchers. 5 starters would leave 6 in the pen. Dempster is the 5th reliever that they've used.
The Cubs are almost out of pitchers. They can just bring in Wood... he could eat up 4-5 innings.... oh wait.....http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Thanks for the update.
Cubs announcers just pointed out that the Padres don't have any lefties in their pen. As far as I can remember I think David Wells would be the only lefty in their starting rotation as well.
Anyone else getting cracked up over the commentary during the Top of the 3rd? Murton dove for a ball, missed it, and it rolled to the wall..... but as I type makes a sliding catch to end the 3rd.
Anyone got the splits for Benny in day games? It looks incredibly bright in St. Louis on the pregame.... seems to me Benny has tossed some gems in day games when hitters struggle with glare a little bit.
so is #8 Brauns number througout the minors and at Miami? ___________ Braun wore # 8 at Miami and through the minors. I know he actually wore 18 for a while with Milwaukee. I know that 18 is what Gross wears now.... so not sure how that worked.
