Everyone wearing their socks the same way is a lame high school/junior college tactic. I think it is uncomfortable to wear my socks high, because when you pull your pants up, the elastic strangles your calf/knee. Being forced to be uncomfortable every day doesn't seem like it would help anything. -
Crap. That was close.

There could be some serious redemption coming for Rickie.
-
That was awesome. Good for Brad.

Good call InBraunWeTrust

If Gagne pitches the 8th, we aren't really trying to win this game.
-
His numbers this season are too good to be ignored. He has a ton of power, with above average speed, and a well above average throwing arm. It would be foolish for some team not to give him another shot, despite his lack of success in his other chances in the big leagues.
-
Rivera is awesome. Rickie is lame.
-
How about a 6-4-3 here...wait, maybe not.
-
Ouch. Pathetic. Weeks just cannot play defense. Its like he was trying to throw that ball away.

7/15/08 2008 MLB All-Star Game: 7:05 CDT

Lame throw by Hart. -
I agree with naivin. Its not just about getting to the playoffs. With Sabathia and Sheets, if the Brewers can get to the playoffs, they have a legitimate chance of winning the World Series. Thats what its really all about. That is 2 legitimate aces to go with a solid lineup that should continue to improve. Even if it costs Laporta or Gamel, this is a move that the Brewers have to make.

Branyan's defense has been rock solid. Much better than I expected.
-
That was the most idiotic play I have ever seen. Alex Rios is an idiot.
-
Ned shouldn't have let that call go so easily. That was a good spot to get thrown out, because the call was wrong. The third baseman wasn't even going into his glove with his bare hand, the slide jarred the ball loose.
-
An extra run or two here would be nice. Good thing Rickie got hosed at the plate last inning.

John Sickels' take on Dana Eveland
BrianShouseForPrez replied to battlekow's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
Jackson doesn't really do anything above average, even in the minor leagues. Eveland will have a much better career. -
Turnbow is gonna get it done here. I have a good feeling.
-
That was pathetic on Rickie's part..
