  1. I’m swamped too, but was scheduled a while back and normally what happens is that games get cancelled. Looks like I’m working this evening though
  2. what does that have to do with a Wednesday afternoon brewers - bluejays game?
  3. blowing off work to take in the businessmen's special. Have been wanting to do this for the last few seasons but never made it a priority.
  4. i loved Ham when he was a player here. But he did nothing in LA to warrant a coach in waiting status.
  5. Here is the concern. Doc and Ham never worked together and now he has leap frogged all other assistants to be the top guy. It may be OK. Now there is a guy like Joerger who has experience with Doc and was also a coach not getting that role. Also still most of the assistants were brought in by Griffin. Its definitely not typical for NBA benches.
  6. Got tickets for Wednesday, wish he was making his debut a day later. I think he has earned this and I am excited for this as gasser’s debut.
  7. his numbers are really good. I'm surprised it took as long considering their injury issues. I don't know how great his stuff is, but I'm assuming its not great which is why? Can anyone comment
  8. If Hurley does go to the lakers, it may create a ripple similar to Enfield going to SMU. UCONN is an elite job and I doubt they just hire from within or an assistant with another school. It’s so late in the offseason, it will be interesting to see the fallout https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-basketball/news/dan-hurley-replacements-uconn-steve-pikiell-billydonovan/bfaac23eff21b3ac8622b465 the Shaka rumors have already started
  9. very small sample size. 8 2/3" innings pitched, 1.04 ERA, 7K, 7 games pitched.
  10. depends on Megill's status. I wouldn't to be without 2 arms if he isn't going on the DL.
  11. I wouldn't bring this up, except for the number of injuries we have. I think its not a terrible idea to put in a waiver claim in for the former brewer or make a trade offer for cash or a lottery ticket to Stearns.
  12. @nate82what I’m unclear on is if Marquette would have the ability to pay their players the 20 million allotment, like the power 5 schools have. No idea if Marquette would opt in. But if they can they are in much better shape than Wisconsin that would have to spit it between football, basketball, hockey and volleyball. Marquette just have basketball to be honest
  13. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/40206364/ncaa-power-conferences-agree-allow-schools-pay-players Its going to be interesting to see how this affects schools like Marquette and the rest of the BE. While not in "power 5", most (sorry DePaul) of the schools are big players in college basketball. I know NIL is there, but if there is another revenue stream that Marquette can't utilize, its not a good omen. ESPN says this is great, I don't agree. I'd love to see if others are as pessimistic as me on what this means for the sport.
  14. I don't care who, I'm done with the Mitch White reclamation project.
  15. looking at other options, they could call up a sounds pen guy but all options either have been up once and was less than impressive (Hergert) or are struggling in AAA now (Clarke, Junk)
  16. I was convinced it was White before I opened this. I'm fine with dropping Vieira though.
  17. I was expecting them to have more prime time games, but I’m personally loving all of the noon start times
  18. FWIW If this is legit, its not that bad of a schedule. No long road trips Pretty Balanced.
  19. If the goal was to get headlines, this hire was a successful. I doubt they have been on the front page of ESPN since they beat Jason Kidd in the ncaa tournament. I just don’t know how you can expect a rookie head coach to run a d1 program and work a 2nd job. Only way it can work is to bring a veteran ex coach as your top assistant
  20. UWGB hiring Doug Gottleib and lettings him continue his radio show is one of the craziest things I have seen in college basketball. So instead of being on the road recruiting and developing game plans, he will be prepping for his daily show. Also if the show is on from 2-5 central, and there is a game at 7, he is literally running out of the studio to coach a game. The other bad part of this is that if he does succeed (and thats a big IF), he will be on the first plane out of Austin Straubel Airport.
  21. @nate82 the ringer has Holmes projected to the bucks. I agree he is an exciting prospect
  22. I get that, but how athletic is the freaking MVP of the league?
  23. I don’t think the bucks can do much in free agency with their cap situation With picks 23 and 33, they need to get some help off of their bench What I’d like is Zach Edey at 23 and Ryan Dunn at 33. Both would definitely help the bucks defensively.
  24. It would appear they aquired White to cover Payamps' spot until he can return. Doubtful White's time in Milwaukee will be long.
