  1. Isn't there a deputy commissioner that would be the favorite? Don't get me wrong, I'd love for new blood to come in, but with how strong the players union is, I don't see anyone changing the rules to be more favorable for the small market teams.
  2. Is this normal for fantasy baseball? I drafted Sean Murphy (waited too long to get a catcher and nobody was left), who is on the IL. Put him on a IL spot and made a claim for Amaya from the cubs, was awarded him yesterday, but can't use him until Monday 4/1, so I am catcherless until then. I know the roster locks on Mondays, but week 1 is today - next Sunday.
  3. I drafted tonight, took strider way earlier than projected. It seems like most used average draft position as a barometer, I used projected points so I took a lot of guys earlier than normal. Since it’s my first year I’ll see how my strategy went. Don’t have a team name so went with W.A.R. Raiders to honor the wwe tag team.
  4. It is a lot, that’s why I came here to see what others thought that have done it. I think it makes sense to go heavy sp early. Since it’s my first year I can see how it goes and adjust a strategy next year after seeing how things go,
  5. Thanks for the tip

  7. I guess if you get points for k’s, starters are more valuable than closers after looking more into it. I’m new to this so trying to figure out a strategy
  8. Thank you since it’s nl only picking sleepers is a key
  9. I was planning on spending the first few rounds on elite offense and then try to get. 3 closers 4-6. You get. 8 points for a save and 10 for a win. Seems like you can do way better by getting dominant closers
  10. Basically 4 top 100 recruits coming in next year, incoming class is. #16 in the country.
  11. the league is NL only. Its Head to Head, but a lot of scoring categories, not 5x5 and rewards accomplishments like no hitters and cycles. Doesn't seem like you can focus on certain categories to win the week, since its total score. Unlimited waivers which seems like I can rotate through starting pitchers daily to accumulate points, but I'm sure everyone else does that too.
  12. They couldn’t play in Milwaukee. Cleveland is nice though and is easy for Marquette fans to travel. Not an easy game and Michigan state looms if they beat the Aggies.
  13. I hope 7 but that’s the ceiling. 23-10 is a good year. It’s just they played poorly in conference with the big east being down.
  14. Honestly how often does a rule V guy make an impact. You can't let spring stats dictate much. Yes he pitched good in double A as a 24 year old. the bigs are a different story. Maybe @jesusoftheapes will be right, but what is his ceiling, middle relief or back end of the rotation?
  15. Yes, no different that the brewers keeping wang when he had no business on a 25 man roster
  16. This league has been established for more than 15 years. A guy dropped out so I took over. Thats my concern, that everyone has strategy's established and knows what to focus on.. I guess its fair to understand that you may not do well year 1, but I will learn how to do it for 2026.
  17. I'm not sure, I was just asked last night so don't have the invite to get into yahoo league yet
  18. this year will be my first year doing it. I have draft strategy set for football, but would love to hear everyone's top advice for putting together a roster.
  19. Purdue or Wisconsin. Are they as good as last year, no? Do they miss Oso and Kolek, heck yeah. But they are still 22-8 with one more game to go. People act like we are back in the Wojo days.
  20. will be interesting to see how much it cost them, but I do like this. He had a solid 24 season with the Mets.
  21. Their AP ranking is 20, NET 22, KenPom 23 and ESPN has them a 6. I can't see them any lower than a 6, if they split UCONN and St Johns.
  22. Ideally Marquette at least splits their 2 games this week at worst. Win at least one game in the Big East Tournament. I think that puts them a solid 4 or 5.
  23. Depends for whom?
  24. for what? we need a 3rd baseman....
  25. if he just has to be added to the 40, protecting guys like Collins or Capra over him seems silly.
