  1. I just want someone at this point that is automatic inside 40. Decent at 40-50 and can make 50 if he had to. This guy doesn’t seem to have history of kicking in cold weather, so that’s his biggest negative. He does seem to have a big leg and can make them inside 40 regularly
  2. its a kicker, if he isn't great they can keep Greg Joseph on speed dial or one of the others cut yesterday. In game situations he was 6/7 and made a 59 yarder. that means more to me that 75% during practice (what are we talking bout, practice? How silly is that)
  3. Welch & King unclaimed hopefully they ends up on the P/S.
  4. Yes! That’s the kicker I wanted.
  5. Does anyone know when waiver claims get announced. Best i can find on google is P/S players can be signed starting at noon (est) today. I am then assuming that if the packers claim a kicker or another player, I'll know this AM?
  6. Pratt seemed to make more sense as a developmental P/S player plus he outperformed Clifford this preseason. Seems like Gutey really likes Clifford for some reason.
  7. I saw this online a few days ago, these are the camp battles to watch for on the kicker front. Looking at it Narverson seemed the most intriguing based on who is probably going to be cut. https://www.acmepackingcompany.com/2024/8/22/24225976/packers-kickers-final-cuts-market-waivers-trade-shrader-narveson-seibert-patterson
  8. Bates as 6/7 in the preseason. Lions offered him a 2 year guaranteed deal, the Packers wouldn't. I think they are stuck with him.
  9. I think this means they are going outside (trade / WW) , which is good news. want Narverson
  10. I edited my post after thinking about it a little. I still think they could do better on the ww tomorrow and get a zappe. That being said it’s not a terrible risk to give up a 7th
  11. Not sure how this is an improvement
  12. I'd love the packers to make a trade with the titans for Brayden Narveson. Maybe see if the brown would trade us Dorien Thompson Robinson or Pats Zappe.
  13. When Carlson was draft myself and many here questioned based on when they took him and who was available at that point. If they move on, great. I wish they brought in better competition Greg Joseph for him.
  14. It’s very possible that they trade for one before the deadline or claim one. I just don’t think Joseph is better.
  15. The 2 largest question marks aren’t really answered. I hope the go elsewhere for backup qb. If they don’t, it should be Pratt. I think it’s likely Carlson but if they pivot this week and trade for someone before they get cut or claim one I wouldn’t be upset.
  16. I don’t see him getting cut. The stuck with all last year and Joseph isn’t any better.
  17. I looked up Wiemer's AAA stats last, they are brutal since the trade. batting .075 since moving to Louisville
  18. I know they are going to try again next homestand, but at this point why don't think just table it until 2025?
  19. I think it will be Hall and Hicklen. If Perkins is back up by then. it will be Black instead of Hicklen. It’s not as fun as when you had full access to the 40 man. We are at the point where we can speculate. What say you?
  20. getting rid of Berry and moving to a 4-3 will help him I think.
  21. seeing the new kickoff for the first time, its weird. Not a fan. Not sure how we will ever not see a touchback, so just make it automatic then. Also still confused on why they have a developmental QB as their backup? They found their guy, sign Tannehill and either try to get a 7th for Clifford, move him to PS, or cut him.
  22. not really. Arnold was on TV yesterday, they knew Levonas would be a tough sign, but they took the risk because they would get the pick back next year if they failed. He mentioned (which I didn't see here yet) that they used all but 200 dollars of their bonus pool. One can argue that giving big bonuses at the end of their draft is not the best strategy, but it seems like they got some wildcards that they like. I don't get too worried about the MLB draft because its how you develop them, not what their skills are when you draft them, unlike the NFL and NBA that are rostered immediately.
  23. Maybe i'm wrong again, but I thought players that were traded can't garnish one for the club that loses him. EDIT: NM, i see that only applies to players traded during the season before FA, so that wouldn't apply. BIG DRAFT for the crew in 2025
  24. I wasn't aware that applied to CBs as well. that lowers the risk and next year they will get CB A and B picks then.
  25. Ross is being activated to make the start!
