He is, it would have to be a 1 year min deal. I think Boeve or Wilken will be playing 3rd in 2026 but neither are ready.

No surprises, I figurerd Milner would be nontendered. The only other person that I thought was 50/50 was Payamps, but at 2,8 million that’s still a decently cheap bullpen option.

If would have to be for the mlb min salary and only 1 year, but not the worst idea for a 1 year stopgap and then Ortiz can move to shortstop

I didn’t care for it as first but have warmed up to it after reading the backstory. The uniforms are really nice. I’m happy that the rebranding isn’t really “minor league” -
If MLB wants to reduce cost, I could see them getting rid of rookie league ball and high A. Low A would then be rookie ball. Like @Jim Goulart said though, with all of these new parks going up, I do not think the affiliates would tolerate it. Also for it to work, I think MLB would have to get the MLBPA to agree to NBA like draft eligibility rules, which I don't see.

I read estimates for Haase of 1.8-2 million, so this is a good deal for the brewers.

Yes it was, but I'm glad that the student body didn't feel the need to storm the court after beating a top 10 team at home unlike another certain team 80 miles to the west . Its still just a non-conference game in November, but its still a quad 1 win.

nope, pick coming back to Milwaukee. Brewers will make an offer to say that they did like they did with Prince and CC, but it wont be competitive.

Adames rejects QO as expected. If he signs somewhere for more than 50MM total (a lock), brewers get a pick at the end of the 1st round as a revenue sharing team.

I think keep it, it really should only be active in the offseason / trade deadline anyway....easier to separate rumors from actual moves. -
it would be nice if Pat would finalize his staff. Besides the the new hitting coaches and retaining Hook, its been crickets.

Carolina Mudcats was a fine name. I’ll withhold judgment until next Friday but it’s if something very minor league like the Trash Panda’s I won’t be happy. I pick on them because that’s the most ridiculous minor league branding right now

I agree with you per se, but there will be a payroll reduction this offseason, take 8 million off of the books for a player that won't be here in 2026. I think Stott has some value and allows Turang to shift over to short.

now the brewers will (most likely) have to go to arbitration with him and state all of the reasons brewers shouldn't pay him what he wants. I agree you don't pay players more than you have to, but saving 1.5 million for the best closer in baseball doesn't seem worth it ( I know, its not my money, but still)

Yeah you probably don’t do this if you don’t plan to trade him. Moving him is the smart move. He has been great but they won’t resign him so see what you can get
