  1. FWIW If this is legit, its not that bad of a schedule. No long road trips Pretty Balanced.
  2. If the goal was to get headlines, this hire was a successful. I doubt they have been on the front page of ESPN since they beat Jason Kidd in the ncaa tournament. I just don’t know how you can expect a rookie head coach to run a d1 program and work a 2nd job. Only way it can work is to bring a veteran ex coach as your top assistant
  3. UWGB hiring Doug Gottleib and lettings him continue his radio show is one of the craziest things I have seen in college basketball. So instead of being on the road recruiting and developing game plans, he will be prepping for his daily show. Also if the show is on from 2-5 central, and there is a game at 7, he is literally running out of the studio to coach a game. The other bad part of this is that if he does succeed (and thats a big IF), he will be on the first plane out of Austin Straubel Airport.
  4. @nate82 the ringer has Holmes projected to the bucks. I agree he is an exciting prospect
  5. I get that, but how athletic is the freaking MVP of the league?
  6. I don’t think the bucks can do much in free agency with their cap situation With picks 23 and 33, they need to get some help off of their bench What I’d like is Zach Edey at 23 and Ryan Dunn at 33. Both would definitely help the bucks defensively.
  7. It would appear they aquired White to cover Payamps' spot until he can return. Doubtful White's time in Milwaukee will be long.
  8. Myers has earned a rotation spot for now. I would assume Hergert goes down and Gasser is down tomorrow since Peralta's suspension is then over.
  9. He's 65, not many teams are bringing in guys his age anyway. He is currently the 5th oldest manager in baseball, so this isn't a controversial statement.
  10. Players and managers take it much less personal than fans, due to free agency and the increase in inter league play (less divisional play)
  11. Unforunately fueds like Garner vs Bevington are over with free agency, all of the interleague play and coaching moving around so often.
  12. why keep marjon? Doc refuses to play him. I'm fine with the rest of it. Also AJJ not getting in the game yesterday when it was falling apart was questionable. Also I agree that they should try to keep their picks unless they are to bring in players are on a rookie deal and not broker a player on the wrong side of 30.
  13. @TURBOi'm shocked that he said he was surprised about the pushback he got from Brewer fans, having coaches and played in that rivalry for as long as he did.
  14. can we just get over it? He was a great manager for the brewers (maybe the best in team history). He plyed out his contract to the best of his abilities and took the highest offer that just happened to be our chief rival. How many threads do we need about how much we hate him?
  15. ownership is definitely involved more than most teams. Also the team is appeasing their star, and not making the best basketball decisions. terrified he will demand to go to a large market. This is what happened in Cleveland for Lebron's first run.
  16. Not saying anything anyone doesn't know. Poor drafting and trading most of their picks did them in. They had a strong starting lineup when healthy, but literally one decent bench player. I don't see how it gets better minus trading 1-2 players for picks and young players. Literally the last 2 games on the road, bucks played them tough for 3 quarters and ran out of gas. Bench scoring yesterday was 50-10. can't win like that. Rumors are hot that Horst will be POBO for the Pistons, which I'm fine with. He did great during his time and won a chip, but coaching hires / fires and draft picks have really been bad.
  17. It is. I don’t think it’s the same Walter. I used to go there all of time, but have gone elsewhere. I had to see his take on the draft today and it was unsurprisingly negative
  18. Walter football trashed the picks, which probably means it was a good draft. I’m ok with Morgan. I love what they did in round 2. It looks like yesterday they got a ton of players yesterday that fits their system. I really do enjoy reading the recaps todays and tomorrow with all of the bloggers who think they know more than teams with a full scouting department that there only job is to scout college players all year.
  19. Bleacher report had him 35th overall
  20. The Monk pick is getting trashed, but he is a classic ol pick for gutey
  21. When Bulaga made the pick and thanked the fans for the warm welcome, I wish he would have said we will return the favor next year :)
  22. looking at the re-mocks this AM is pretty crazy. A lot of 1st round talent available.
  23. I know all 3 other North teams had a big night last night, but this is a crazy stat:
  24. I thought they would go that way, which sucks because the bears were gifted him.
  25. GM said Penix could sit 4-5 years. They are truly trying to recreate Jordan Love / Aaron Rodgers https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10118683-falcons-gm-suggests-michael-penix-jr-could-sit-4-or-5-years-behind-kirk-cousins
