i've sad this before but Kendall has no speed and a lower obp than Weeks. Rickie should lead off. -
On the Jim Rome show today he said that A-Rod knew when he did this that SI was going to drop the bombshell about his positive test. So basically A-Rod is arrogant and an idiot all at once. Dude seems messed up. I'm sure this makes him look even more like a "true yankee". apparently he was drinking before and during the photoshoot as well, according to jim rome show too.

i think the system gets overloaded with people making picks at work. It seems to be fine later in the day.

i think his "pondering" out loud of who will get the 8th, could really rub some players the wrong way. Just like George Karl, him outing people via the media really only works so long and can really cause players to shut him out.

this year seems to be tougher than usual. While its usually wrong I usually have an idea on my final four. This year I got nothing.

great win tonight for team usa but i was very disappointed by the crowd. When the USA played Canada last Saturday, Rogers Centre was filled and the crowd in Miami was pitiful. Further shows that Miami is just not a baseball town. I have little doubt that the crowds would be big in most major league stadiums across the country (assuming the game was played in warm weather stadiums and domes).

i did do my first run though and i know ill be changing the brackets a couple of time as i get flooded by predictions by the so-called experts. Right now my brackets are very heavily weighed on the big east doing very well.

i usually just go inside and put 20 dollars in, since you only need 8 gallons, its dumb to fill up. Its a little bit of trouble and extra trips but you will get a couple more stamps over the course of a summer.

my predictions (nothing earth shattering) Louisville gets the #1 overall seed, other #1's UCONN, PITT and UNC Marquette will get a #6, Wisconsin #11 Presently i am thinking PITT will win the whole thing.

i finally got some time today to play the game and the biggest bug that i have found is that the brewers seem to switch managers in the middle of games, macha starts and a hispanic man finishes most games. hopefully the next patch fixes that.

If you check out Operationsports.com they have people helping make this game even better. Someone already put out a song pack filled with walk up music for almost every player in the game, they are working on the home run music for all teams, and full rosters with the top 100-200 prospects included. forgive my ignorance but how do you download stuff like that. I think it would be cool, even though the game is as about realistic as i could imagine already.

I really enjoyed the games this weekend and managed to watch all or parts of 5 games on saturday and sunday. The one change i wish they would make, is that teams like Korea and the US that have already clinched should not have to play a meaningless game before advancement. While this is a great tournament all of these players are owned by there respective teams and not their international baseball teams. This is just another chance for injury. The fact that Chipper already went down wouldn't sit well with me if i was a braves fan. To through Lilly out during a meaningless game would annoy me if i was a cubs fan. I think they make so many rules to protect pitchers from injuries to make them play a meaningless game seems to somewhat fly in the face of this. I know there would be 4 less paydays in the first round, but the goal is to get through this thing injury free. I also agree with some setiments that this tournament would be better served to be done in October or November and not March. It would be much more competitive and most major leaguers would have rest and those that played in the world series could pull out if they wanted.

yeah its disappointing because he really came on the end of last year and i doubt we would of made the playoffs without him. I always knew if gagne was going to make it it would mean they would eat julio's 1 million which seemed unlikely to me. Hopefully morlan or julio steps up for the final pen spot.

Batting Order to start the 2009 season

By that argument, we should just bat people in order of how good they are, basically ranking them by OPS. obviously there is some credence to that argument, but you still don't want to put your 2 best power hitters in a situation where they rarely will have people on base.I'd use obp over ops. so a better statistical lineup would be: Fielder .372 Hardy .343 Weeks .342 Braun .335 Cameron .331 Kendall .327 Hart .300 Hall .293 / Lamb this looks more like a real lineup if you would switch Weeks and Fielder and Kendall and Hart.
