  1. does anyone have a current link or file for brewer fever, i'm having trouble downloading it with the link from brewers19. I got a new phone and want to make it a ringtone and can't seem to find my copy of the mp3 and I am having trouble with.all the links on this website
  2. Why not DFA Gwynn there would be no other OF's on the 40 man besides the starting 3. If we had OF depth, then I'd be fine with it. I think this move has alot to do with putting together a AAA starting rotation and thats about it. We really didn't have any pitchers that could fill in if needed in the minors. Now we have a few.
  3. i think it should be left alone. Bonds will not be in the hall, history will not be kind to him, that is punishment enough. Let him have his record.
  4. my longest streak is 5 and i am still about 10 under 500. I do not know how people can pick so many unless you are in front of your computer all day.
  5. yeah i think so too and it looks like Letterman was in on it.
  6. if the criteria is players lost - players signed, then maybe the brewers do belong there. While I don't think the offseason was terrible and having a healthy yo will help us, we did loose 2 of the top FA starters and signed looper and hoffman and thats about it. there are alot of teams that were bad last year and did nothing to give their fans any hope (pirates, cards, giants, royals, nats, padres, etc). I would put all their offseasons below that of the brewers.
  7. While I never have cared what the rotation is as the only thing that matters is who is the #5 because they will loose some spots in April. I think Gallardo, Parra, Bush, Looper, Soup is probably a good guess. This would allow McClung to be the emergency starter, which puts us in much better shape than we were a few days ago.
  8. i was suprised that if they were going to do melvin that they wouldn't do macha. I'd probably rather have him than Soup. I think the rest are solid choices. Giving out Soup and Kendal does seem to lead to the fact that they are giving out too many a season.
  9. every day that goes by leads me to think Provus is not the choice.
  10. side note, but the park factor for miller park has taken a great fall since opening in '01. I guess that has to be contributed to the brewers having much better pitchers since those motley crews were had in the early naughts. The offense for the team has gotten much better and we have still seen a 0.05 decrease in the park factor.
  11. i don't think gwynn can be released. I think Nixon has a great chance to make the 25 man roster which means someone needs to be removed already in the spring. If Gwynn is gone than you are looking at Duffy making it too. This means 2 spots need to be cleared. I agree someone like DiFelice, Rotino, McGehee, or Nelson.
  12. i saw the movie at the theater and picked up right away that it was Braun. I told my sister that that was who he was and she was surprised that i could pick that up so fast. She should know my brewer geekness better.
  13. didn't see this answered yet, but does anyone know if sheets doesn't sign with someone until after the draft are we stuck with no compensation at all?
  14. I agree, probably my favorite of the season so far. Micheal's lines to Karen were classic "oh I'm sorry I was just trying to figure out the last time you and Jim had sex" "do you need to go and pump"
  15. yes it will be on ps2 too.
  16. From what i know about Fryer he seems like a decent catching prospect. Don't know much about Wright but it appears we gave too much up.
  17. nope, the show is only available for the ps3 and psp.
  18. well mlb.com is report Munn is out http://milwaukee.brewers....mp;fext=.jsp&c_id=mil
  19. i think he meant drink half a beer!
  20. http://www.metsblog.com/2...angers-brewers-and-perez/ brewers and rangers are said to be interested, with the mets being the favorite. I have always been a fan of him. Giving up a first round pick though is going to be tough. We'd be completely out of the first round after expecting 3 picks.
  21. Ill put this here: updated draft position as of today http://www.baseballameric...s/ask-ba/2009/267483.html The Brewers pick 27th in the first round, then have a supplemental pick (No. 38) for losing CC Sabathia to the Yankees as well as the Yankees' second-round pick (No. 68).
  22. What decisions would those be? I was talking about matching the heat offers for Williams and Bell. Also siging Gatzuric for the obnoxious contract when Harris did.
  23. the problem is that i think this team is still a playoff team in the east without Redd assuming that Bogut can stay healthy for the rest of the year. Maybe only a #8, but still it would be an starting place for next year. Of course if the team trades sessions and CV and don't get a decent player back then they are done. I understand why you do it if you don't think you can bring them back and avoid the luxury tax The team has also made horrible decisions on just about every restricted FA in recent memory.
