  1. i think dillon is gone, not necessarily Jones. Jones and dillon are similar type backs. I didn't see the money, but I'm assuming its more that the 3/24 swift and pollard got.
  2. Like I said before, the timing of griffin’s firing was awful. I’m glad that are starting the post all star break games strong. They really have improved defensively in a short time period.
  3. How much coverage of Murphy and was there in the counsell era. It’s like the vice president, it’s only an issue if the the president leaves office, of in baseball terms the manager gets fired or ejected
  4. I won’t post it because this is a family site, but the Casey Schmitt media photo is horrible.
  5. Maybe but it seems like you younger managers embrace analytics, it’s the old school baseball guys that don’t
  6. I know this is a hot button issue and a lot here take it very personally, I just done with it and ready for the season to start. Murphy seems like a breath of fresh air and counsell clearly was never returning to the brewers.
  7. I wasn’t expecting a Marquette win but a blowout is disappointing. I hope for a better showing next month in Milwaukee.
  8. Maybe Kool-Aid or Jean are better options. I like guys like Barton or Morgan as well and you are right they seem like more packer picks
  9. He fits the high RAS score player that the packers like
  10. Curious if it’s fanatics brand or from the website. Wasn’t the champ shirts Nike?
  11. Just did one on PFF. There are a ton of safetys that are 2nd day guys: Kinchens, Bullard,Bollack, Nubin. I'd hope we use a 2nd round pick on one of those guys. With the emergence of Walker, they don't really need a tackle as much as I thought, but I took one. Like others said they do need to do something at CB early with alexander's future in doubt and stokes struggling. I don't think Corum will be around in the 3rd in the real draft, but he was there. Packers like guys like Walker. Again WR isn't really a need but another weapon for Love isn't a bad thing. I wanted to take a Defensive front 7 guy but nothing came up that was obvious.
  12. I'm no fan of nike either, but not because of quality its more of letting teams have 4-6 different jerseys in a multitude of colors that some are not even primary colors for the team to sell more jerseys.
  13. leaning towards @StearnsFTWis correct and there is a corresponding trade holding this up. Or else there is a difference in opinion on a buyout on a 2nd year option? If it was a failed physical, I think that would be out by now.
  14. kind of my point. Its not a big deal who outfits MLB teams, but if fans want an on field jersey they have to buy a fanatics one. Its disappointing that you can't buy the "official locker room" tshirts that aren't fanatics branded. When the bucks won it all I found an Antigua polo that was pretty nice because I won't spend a penny on that garbage brand.
  15. I have kind of been following this, as a long time hater of the fanatics brand. I saw this blog post last night that featured a photo of the brewers road alternates that look noticeably worse than what was in 2023 Nike's template. https://sodomojo.com/posts/new-mariners-nike-home-jersey-leaks-and-it-looks-horrendous-01hphgpyxrnc Now I see I see the MLBPA is thinking of getting involved: https://ftw.usatoday.com/2024/02/mlb-player-jersey-complaints-fanatics-mlbpa My issues with Nike were always not about the quality of a Nike product, but rather their instance of having so many alternatives for the NBA and MLB its hard to recognize who is who anymore (Bucks in blue or yellow?). Anything I ever got from Fanatics just looked cheap. I am surprised MLB went this way and now are in an embarrassing situation. I know this is a minor issue, but to expect fans to purchase 175 dollar jerseys, they should be getting a quality product.
  16. Brewers could have let let Jahmai Jones go with no issue. I never said that Andrews will be anything but 3 1/3 innings isn't really a fair shot.
  17. he had a great 2021 and fans were complaining. In the end @Ron Robinsons Beardwas right but he was a great setup man for the dodgers before flaming out.
  18. I get it, I Just don't want to see the thread in a year about how we gave up too early, see Bickford, Phil.
  19. I understand that. I get that Andrews ceiling is maybe a middle reliever. My point is that he can still be a competent MLB reliever and the brewers gave up on him after 4 MLB appearances and 3 1/3 innings.
  20. Andrews was one of favorite minor leaguers. His numbers in Nashville were pretty good but it’s undeniable that he was awful in the majors. The fact that the Yankees gave up something somewhat decent for him indicates that they think there is a chance he can rebound and help them. This is a move that the team may regret. what if the brewers gave up on Burnes after a horrible rookie year?
  21. better a lottery ticket than cash
  22. it really was unfair of those criticizing the hire of Doc because there wasn't improvement out of the gate also on a long west coast road trip. Last night was impressive, but I don't want to get too excited over a small sample size of 2 games.
  23. Ballys announced the Brewers spring training schedule today and it seems to indicate no changes are where the games will be broadcasted in 24 https://www.ballysports.com/article/clsj3ugtd000nl5ubn2hx25ux?fbclid=IwAR0GMQUlA0j3-9wrH5z3_RxIfsWeXzbZdZ_YhXWSmiHGpaLqu5pvf7m0dwc
  24. @Joseph ZarrHe has said he doesn't want to, but as of right now nba.com has Doc as the coach https://www.nba.com/allstar/2024/roster
  25. they were without 2 of their 3 best players. I give them a pass for last night. This last 2 weeks has been a perfect storm of issues. Switching coaches and injuries. I wish Doc didn't have to coach the all star game, and could use that time to figure out how to get out of this mess.
