  1. I do hope Junis can take Rodriguez’s spot in the rotation and he is sent down. Maybe Hall will be ready to come out of the pen or a guy like Chad Patrick gets a chance to be up.
  2. NBA teams are allowed to sign their first round pick to rookie scale contracts even if they exceed the cap. The bucks need to get younger, I don't think this is a great idea. Now if they can trade one of the 3 players and picks you mentioned and 23 or even and 33 and get a youngish player that can start, OK then.
  3. Packers missed out on Jason Bates to the lions but got the guy they cut to sign him, James Turner. I think he has atleast a punchers chance to make the team. All Big 10. 6/9 from over 40, playing outdoors in the Midwest.
  4. I wonder if you give Blalock the chance to start on saturday rather than Rodriguez. He probably needs to go back down anyway.
  5. Brewers should absolutely be going after guys like Hernandez. They absolutely should be dropping them right once they know he isn’t the answer. For every Hudson your will get 5 Hernandez’s. If you hit on 20%, you are doing great
  6. Thinking about this further If they could get Holmes, Missi, or Edey at 23. And Scheierman at 33 that would be nice. They need to figure out a Center for after Brook and Scheierman gives them another shooter off of the bench. I like Dunn at 33 but he is basically another AJJ
  7. Draft is next week, I don’t really have any interest in drafting a project, the bucks need to get younger, and get some guys that can help day 1 off of the bench. At 23 I’d look at Edey, Holmes, Missi, or Kolek. At 33 I love Dunn or Scheierman. With the lack of picks this decade, this is a very important draft for the bucks
  8. I’m swamped too, but was scheduled a while back and normally what happens is that games get cancelled. Looks like I’m working this evening though
  9. what does that have to do with a Wednesday afternoon brewers - bluejays game?
  10. blowing off work to take in the businessmen's special. Have been wanting to do this for the last few seasons but never made it a priority.
  11. i loved Ham when he was a player here. But he did nothing in LA to warrant a coach in waiting status.
  12. Here is the concern. Doc and Ham never worked together and now he has leap frogged all other assistants to be the top guy. It may be OK. Now there is a guy like Joerger who has experience with Doc and was also a coach not getting that role. Also still most of the assistants were brought in by Griffin. Its definitely not typical for NBA benches.
  13. Got tickets for Wednesday, wish he was making his debut a day later. I think he has earned this and I am excited for this as gasser’s debut.
  14. his numbers are really good. I'm surprised it took as long considering their injury issues. I don't know how great his stuff is, but I'm assuming its not great which is why? Can anyone comment
  15. If Hurley does go to the lakers, it may create a ripple similar to Enfield going to SMU. UCONN is an elite job and I doubt they just hire from within or an assistant with another school. It’s so late in the offseason, it will be interesting to see the fallout https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-basketball/news/dan-hurley-replacements-uconn-steve-pikiell-billydonovan/bfaac23eff21b3ac8622b465 the Shaka rumors have already started
  16. very small sample size. 8 2/3" innings pitched, 1.04 ERA, 7K, 7 games pitched.
  17. depends on Megill's status. I wouldn't to be without 2 arms if he isn't going on the DL.
  18. I wouldn't bring this up, except for the number of injuries we have. I think its not a terrible idea to put in a waiver claim in for the former brewer or make a trade offer for cash or a lottery ticket to Stearns.
  19. @nate82what I’m unclear on is if Marquette would have the ability to pay their players the 20 million allotment, like the power 5 schools have. No idea if Marquette would opt in. But if they can they are in much better shape than Wisconsin that would have to spit it between football, basketball, hockey and volleyball. Marquette just have basketball to be honest
  20. https://www.espn.com/college-sports/story/_/id/40206364/ncaa-power-conferences-agree-allow-schools-pay-players Its going to be interesting to see how this affects schools like Marquette and the rest of the BE. While not in "power 5", most (sorry DePaul) of the schools are big players in college basketball. I know NIL is there, but if there is another revenue stream that Marquette can't utilize, its not a good omen. ESPN says this is great, I don't agree. I'd love to see if others are as pessimistic as me on what this means for the sport.
  21. I don't care who, I'm done with the Mitch White reclamation project.
  22. looking at other options, they could call up a sounds pen guy but all options either have been up once and was less than impressive (Hergert) or are struggling in AAA now (Clarke, Junk)
  23. I was convinced it was White before I opened this. I'm fine with dropping Vieira though.
  24. I was expecting them to have more prime time games, but I’m personally loving all of the noon start times
