  1. WIth Quero's injury this is huge
  2. Jones may leave, but I think is more likely he stays. Looking like Starting 5: Jones, Ross, Mitchell, Joplin, Gold Bench: Lowrey, Norman, Owens, Hamilton, Parham
  3. Defensively Marquette played well enough to win. That was the worse shooting performance in some time. Very frustrating way to go out. It’s impossible to win when you go 4-31 from 3 and 20-60 from the field. Doesn’t matter who you play
  4. if you do that trade, Quinyon better be an all-pro by year 2. I think by staying the course or by not being so aggressive, they can fill multiple needs rather than just one. Also I'd look elsewhere at 12, like Latham or Fashanu.
  5. I'm wondering if there just an understanding that if he clears he will be outrighted to Nashville and would be first man up when needed.
  6. He had a solid spring. But not lets kid ourselves, he hit .201 last season in about 300 at bats. That being said if Contreras or Sanchez goes down, there isn't much depth behind them. They may be forced to bring up Quero before he is ready.
  7. its entirely possible he hangs it up on Tuesday night.
  8. 2019, LoCain's game saving over the wall catch vs the Cards.
  9. Packers sign Greg Joseph I'm glad they signed a vet to compete with Carlson. Low cost, no risk move. I get developing a kicker, but that's a position that you can't wait 4 years for him to figure it out. My Issue is that Joseph actually made a lower % of FG's than Carlson last year. He was better at Extra points though.
  10. I don't get the point of keeping Perkins. I get letting Weimer get AB' in Nashville rather than being the 5th OF here, but there has to be a better use of a roster spot.
  11. For our of staters and T-Mobile customers, you can get a year long subscription of MLB TV for free tomorrow on their T-Life app.
  12. All 3 teams making it through would be awesome and isn't far fetched. There has been criticism that the BE hasn't played any schools ranked lower than 8 seed, but its not there fault obviously. And since all 3 teams that got in got top 3 seeds, they were going to get a high seed in R1 and in R2 Creighton and MU's opponents were upsets in R1. Obviously things get harder in the Sweet 16, but I am happy with NC State as MU's opponent.
  13. Marquette has been a 2nd half team all season and today was no different. Move on and advance somehow is all you have to do.
  14. i watched them play UWM and was very impressed. So much so in one of those silly radio bracket contests that are free to enter I took Oakland to win it all. Its no fun to take a 1 and you would most likely lose in tiebreakers anyway, so I like to go big in those.
  15. there are calls for Cal's job. He has had a awful run in the tournament that his firing chance is no longer non-zero.
  16. yeah Kentucky and Houston are different definitely. I think Houston is probably the 2nd best team in the dance. I thought Kentucky could just outscore teams, but when you let a player go off for 10 3's that harder to do.
  17. Haha, that’s why this is such a great event. Houston is a great team that Marquette would have to deal with if they get past the fist weekend
  18. I wasn’t that excited about the Bauers trade. If they cut him loose I wouldn’t be upset. With Sanchez’s wrist injury I could see the value in keeping Haase for now.
  19. Im worried about the Kentucky game for Marquette. Marquette is going to have a tough time stopping them and I’m concerned they can’t keep scoring pace with them, but stranger things have happened.
  20. calling my shot. Final 4: UCONN, Arizona, Houston, and Creighton UCONN beats Creighton to cut down the nets again. McNeese is my Cinderella that makes it to the Elite 8.
  21. I had a good idea last night. First of all nobody wants to watch Howard vs Wagner on a Tuesday night in Canton. Also if you win your conference tournament I fell like you should play in the real tournament and get a chance to take on Goliath. So make the first 4, true playin games. Last 8 at large bids duke it out. Its more compelling to see the larger schools and this will limit the complaining a little. At least 4 more schools that didn't do enough during the season gets chance to be in. I also would be open to expanding the play-in to 16 and have doubleheaders Tuesday and Wednesday. It could basically replace the NIT and make for some compelling TV.
  22. I agree. I love watching David vs Goliaths on the first weekend, but then I want to see the elite teams battle at the end. Its fun to have a St. Peters make a deep run, but I agree you don't want to see two AQ only conferences play in the 2nd or 3rd weekend.
  23. My initial reaction is that Marquette got a very favorable draw. Last year getting Michigan State in the 2bd scared me. I think they should get to the sweet 16. Kentucky is a tough prospective sweet 16 matchup. I’m glad UCONN and Purdue wasn’t the 1 in their bracket as well.
  24. You guys got a tough draw
  25. If Marquette can win tonight, the case for a 2 or 3 is strengthened with Creighton losing
