First TV game of the year tonight! DISH Network channel 452; DirecTV channel 642... HD? Out of Market?

Has anybody made any calls on this yet?

I guess I might have to wait a couple more weeks, then. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

(NOTE: 2hoophead is asking what channel would be carrying this game on DISH Network. His question was clear until I merged the two threads about tonight's TV coverage. --1992)

I know that I was surprised to see it show up on the on-screen guide on my Directv. So, we'll see if I actually get the game, though. I'm not counting on it.

i'm in milwaukee, but i don't think it's gonna be HD here either but i'm hoping i'm wrong. it's too bad that FSN HD never actually says what's on it on the guide screen for time warner.

I'm in the Fox Valley and it says I am getting the Timberwolves game on DirecTv. Ack...

I hate the Timberwolves this time of year. I imagine I'll miss the game as well tonight in EC as we always get the Wolves over the Crew.

My DirecTV guide lists the Timberwolves on channel 641 and the Brewers on channel 642.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

My DirecTV guide told me to go to the game, so that is what I will do. We have a pack of WI people, so look for us on TV. I'll wear my red Nashville Sounds hat and be lounging in the lawn.

I heard on WSSP 1250 that it will be on FSN tonight at 9:05 cst.

Which makes it CDT in most states. Also, game is on DISH channel 452.

I just re-upped with MLB.tv today for the occasion. Thing is, I am supposed to be blacked out for:

* San Diego Padres

* Oakland Athletics

* Los Angeles Angels (of Anaheim)

* Arizona Diamondbacks

* Los Angeles Dodgers

* San Francisco Giants

Which sucks. I really hope that they don't blackout the spring games.

Watching the game now on MLB.TV in Connecticut. I re-upped tonight too, though it's my first year in a while following them from somewhere besides MKE. (Yanks/Mets blackout territory, FWIW).

I got the Premium package this year so I'm a little disappointed this game is only in a 400k feed. I would be very disappointed if during the year it turned out that only certain games were available at 800k or 1.2 meg.

With that said the 400k quality isn't too bad. The Silverlight player doesn't take 30 seconds to 'warm up' like the regular media players in past years; it fired up instantly.

I am impressed. I am getting the game here in AZ on DTV 642. I really didn't think I'd get it.

Pleased as punch right now--except that I caught a cold right before my spring break, so instead of enjoying a beer with the ballgame, I get to start my time off of work with tea and Cold-eeze. Should make it fun down in Maryvale tomorrow.

I don't think spring training games are subject to blackouts.

alright, here's a quibble about the broadcast. . . .

just watched that Ho-Chunk Casino commercial and towards the very end, they show the dealer/player spreading out the cards- Ten, King, Ace. Now, unless they are playing Three Card Poker, who in their right mind is hitting on a "20"? Because that would be the only other possibility.

I know, it's a commercial but it still bugs me a bit. Most people think of blackjack when you think of cards in a casino (although Hold 'Em is probably catching up in that race) and with those cards, you can either 3 combinations, 2 of which are automatic wins (unless you take the even money when the dealer has an ace showing) and the other is 20. And nobody, except Bugs Bunny maybe, would "hit" on a 20.

hey, was that Trevor Hoffman coaching third base? or is that Glenn Hoffman? or Dustin Hoffman, keeping with the movie stars as ballplayers theme of the week?
