I sent in for a Nabisco offer in 1993 when I was a kid for an autographed Don Drysdale card, very shortly before he died. In fact, I think he died while we were waiting for the card to arrive in the mail:

Any idea on what it would be worth? I see that ebay has a few of these listed from around $60-$100.

I also used to have (before my aunt basically bullied/guilt tripped my mom into giving it to her) a Milwaukee Braves game program signed by Eddie Mathews. My grandpa had worked at the Blatz brewery until his untimely death in 1956 when my mom was 7, and loved going to Braves games after work. Any idea on what something like that would be worth?

Not exactly baseball, but does anyone know what a 1996 Packers football signed by the entire team and i believe coaches would be worth? With and without the certificate of authenticity (not sure where it is)?

I'd say it's worth $500-$700. I'm not sure how much a COA increases the value of an item.

This same Drysdale card just sold for $35 on eBay.

What year is the Braves program?

What's the value of the Pat Richter University of Wisconsin bobblehead? It's my understanding that the bobblehead was only given out to UW Athletic Department employees.

I'm hoping that after Prince hits the trail, that some owners will want to sell theirs.

Odds are, the value will go down once he leaves, at least to brewer fans anyway...

No one seems to want the Lawrie or Odorizzi bobbles since they left the brewers organization.

A very rare bobblehead. There are no more than 500 and were given out at some kind of Dinner for Pat. I've only seen one on eBay and I thought it went for 75. I have a pic somewhere. I'm guessing that the recipients at this dinner were friends, UW boosters, employees and such. Most never made it to the secondary market.

I just picked up a pair of Bruce Pearl "game used" Vols sneakers. Each sneaker is signed and they have a COA. Any guesses on the value?

Anybody know what a signed Clay Matthews jersey would go for? It is on a screen printed jersey on the back numbers. I wish it was on a stitched jersey but I'm thinking about bidding on it anyway.
Posted

100-110 maybe? Those jerseys are about 75 to begin with. Though I don't know how much attraction they draw because it's a replica. I'd hold off. Based on that video where Rodgers and Matthews were heading to a plane, Clay is willing to sign jerseys. Maybe you can hit him up somehow next season? eBay has signed authentics up there pretty often.

Good luck.

Waukesha Sportscards has a Matthews jersey on their website for $350.

The jersey is a Reebok Authentic (not a gamer, but still a good one).

I don't collect football stuff (only baseball). . .but with baseball, the item being signed does play a pretty big part in the value of the final product.

A sig on an authentic offical MLB ball is worth far more than one signed on a little league ball. . .

$350 ?

Do people actually pay that much for an autographed jersey?

Those sigs/jerseys will never be worth that on the open market.

I can't say I paid $350 for it, but I know my mom spent a fair amount on a signed Favre jersey in 2004 for my college graduation. The framing cost the same as the jersey, whatever that was. (225-250?)
Posted

Oh, I know people have shelled out a ton of cash for Favre gear in the past, bet they wish they had saved that money now...

With the amount of stuff out there these days, and everyone saves everything, the value on sigs and atuographed stuff will never hold it's value.

Market saturation...

Perhaps. . .but I can't fault WSC for striking when the iron is hot. And they do have rent and other expenses that don't affect ebay sellers.

And they would seem to offer fewer authenticity issues than you might get with an ebayer. They had Matthews in the store for a signing.

I'm not here to carry WSC's water, but they did all the work to get the jersey into their hands, and can sell it for whatever someone will pay.

If you want to see excessive prices, check out Steiner--but again, people don't have to pay it if they don't want to.

I picked up a nice hardcover book at a thrift store last fall for $5 and didn't really have a chance to look through it until a few weeks ago. Lo and behold, on one of the inside pages there's an autograph from Hank Aaron. Did a little research and it appears to be authentic, even though I have no actual proof. Any idea on what that might go for?

What is the book title and condition?

Aaron has signed a lot during his lifetime, but there is some new respect for the older guys as they age, and his value holds up.

My dad recently came across some old baseball stuff my grandfather had. In that was a postcard from Yankee Stadium. I can't figure out the year of it, but was able to find one very similar through google.

http://www.vintageball.com/files/Habermans.jpg

The difference between the one I have and the image above is mine has no clouds in the sky. The other difference is that mine says "188:-Yankee Stadium. New York."

No idea if this would be worth anything at all, though it's in excellent condition, only one corner very slightly rounded, otherwise no creases. My best bet is that it's from the late 50's only because that's when the Braves played the Yankees and there was some 58 programs and a 58 WS program mixed in there as well.

Anybody?

I would guess that postcard is worth between $10 and $20. . .

I love old things printed on paper, and part of that love is because they're affordable.

I pulled this awhile ago and finally got the card. It's a 2010 Topps T206 Strasburg Caramel RC. I have no desire to hang on to so should I sell it now or wait? Should I get it graded? Thanks in advance.

Does anyone remember a ball-glove logo beach towel giveaway? For my birthday this week I received just such a towel, sealed in its original plastic bag. Based on its specific logo, with the "milwaukee brewers" lettering, I'm guessing it's from the mid to late 1980s:

The towel is mostly gold on the front and white on the back. I like it as an item, so I'm not interested in its monetary value; but I am just curious whether it started as a SGA or simply a fan store item from back in the day. My mother found it at a rummage sale.

Depends on how much you want to get out of it. There are a few on ebay right now, one is BIN for $249, another for $599, and two others with bids for $102 and $71, respectively. I've got a few Strasburg autos and I'm holding onto them for the time being. If I were you, I'd keep it, rather than make a quick $100. But, you never know how he's going to come back from his surgery.
