No. Some poster said "we don't understand baseball" -- I said "No, only Ned." -- meaning most people here have a problem grasping Ned, not baseball strategy.

Yep. If Ned trusts a guy, and that guy makes even one bad decision, that's the manager's fault for allowing him to fail. Also, if the guy succeeds it was in spite of Ned, who by previous logic, put him in a position to fail. Fire Yost.

Well how about if the manager spent the entire spring talking about how that guy needs to steal more bases? That he's such a good basestealer he needs to take more chances?

 

This happens every year. We hear how the Brewers are much faster than they were the previous year. How they are going to be more aggressive. They are going to steal more. And it takes Yost until May to figure out that he only has three decent basestealers, the same two he had from before and Cameron, and that other players should not be stealing in most cases.

 

Braun is now 1 for 4 in SB attempts.

I'm not blowing up Ned or Braun for a "bad decision", getting thrown out at third with 2 outs is buffoonery. Either Yost called for the steal, or he has done a horrible job of teaching fundamentals to his team, as Braun is not the only guy that has been thrown out at third.

 

Braun is NOT an experienced MLB basestealer. Yost is an idiot is he gives a guy like Braun the green light in all situations.

FTJ I think this might be on Dale, he is known for being over aggressive on the bases, and just might have had Braun running into that situation. I wouldn't be surprised if he called for the steal.
