Sign Rodger the Rocket Clemens?

I dispise Roger Clemens. However much I hate him, I love the Brewers 2 times as much. I dislike Dogpoop, but love my dogs so I take the bad with the good.

 

I dont even know that he would consider this right now, but if the Rocket were approached by Melvin, how would you feel? Right now this team is falling from grace and getting the Rocket as a 5th starter could do wonders for the BASEBALL team. Would the public backlash be too much? Perhaps he would join the team in Mid June.

 

Dont kill me for the idea, I am just real curious to see responses.

However, if you are going to sign Clemens, you would 100% have to augment that signing with Bonds as well.

OBP and Pitching would be quickly fixed. And I would hate the Brewers.

Not even sure how much he'd help. He wasn't good with the Yankees last year, and I can't imagine he'd be in baseball shape for at least a month.

I would rather see the Brewers tumble from the skies in a ball of flames then give that bum of a man Roger Clemens a penny of our money and a Brewer uniform. Honestly though, I don't think he can do much for our team. He wasn't all that good for the Yankees last year and even if he takes a huge discount, you have to figure he'll still get something like $8-10M prorated which is extraordinary for a guy of his current abilities.

I think I'd rather add Bonds, as he would add a much needed lefty bat, would likely provide decent OBP, and could sock out a few more home runs as well. Of course, it's never gonna happen, but if I had to choose between the lesser of two evils, it'd be Bonds.

I'd rather sign Jeffrey Hammonds as a pitcher than Roger Clemens.

Clemens had a 4.18 ERA for the Yankee's last year. I think he could help the Brewers. I think he'd help the Brewers a ton.

 

And again, ignoring the realistic aspect of this deal, I'd be all for it. You put it perfectly, I hate Clemens, but I love the Brewers more than I hate him.

This losing streak has everyone going bonkers but come on, Roger Clemens? If this team is going to remain in the tank, I'd rather they do it out of the glare that would come along with this idea.
