Connor Winn, IF, Wesleyan HS (GA)

Winn was recently named the Region 6-AA Player of the Year and is hitting second in Gwinnett County in average (.526) and home runs (12) and has added 27 RBIs. Those numbers have made him not only one of Georgia Tech's top signees, but also another potential draft target, with the St. Louis Cardinals, Florida Marlins and Milwaukee Brewers each having made preliminary contact with him.

Winn was rated an 8/10 by PG Crosschecker last year.

Winn's profile prior to this season was that he would probably be best suited to 2B down the road, as his arm is ok, but probably not strong enough for SS. He has good range and quick feet with average running speed. He has a contact bat and is a great situational hitter. There isn't a whole lot of power to his swing, but he has played for the prestigious East Cobb program and has committed to Georgia Tech, a school that doesn't lose recruits very often.

Really the PG profile tells you all you need to know. While he's having a fine season, it's difficult to gauge whether the numbers he has posted are just high school stats at their best or if he has added significant strength and made the necessary adjustments to be more than how he profiled prior to this spring.

Again, that's hard to say, because if he still profiles in a similar fashion to how PG rated him, he probably doesn't go in the top 10 rounds. If a team likes him enough and believe his bat has progressed enough he could sneak into the top 10 round area, but I don't see him in the top 5 rounds.
