that was my point with the first pitch thing..just seems to come at unopportune times ((although if the flyout was a HR we wouldn't care lol))

And at least Bell didn't ground into a double play....

anyone know if Jenkins can play third base? He's gotta be better there than Bell has been if, for whatever reason, Yost wont play Rillo.

See! I do have some type of a point on the first pitch thing!

They do take a lot of pitches...but you get that every so often...I wonder if theres a stat for the team that swings the most at the first pitch?

At least we flipped the lineup so it will be Hart-Graffy-Fielder against Borowski.

And right after Rivera gets hit, Cirillo with a first pitch popup.

Dumb, dumb, dumb.

It's not meant to be our game. It seems like they find ways to lose games on the road. We get all these new players on our team from trades but we're still the same team when it comes to these dang road games. I can't figure it out.

Shouse did the job, now lets get a couple runs and get the ball to Coco. This would be a disappointing game to lose.

The David Bell 2-0 pitch that he swung at was a hit-and-run, which was just bad luck, because the pitch was crazy low and away, and the count would have gone to 3-0. Bell hit it directly to the first baseman on the ground, fairly hard, but you wonder what would have happened in the inning had the count gone to 3-0 with Clark on first, one out.
