Just wanted to give a shout out to Fox for putting the Cubs/Braves game on this afternoon. Its nice to finally get a chance to see a couple teams play who are never on national television.

I guess match-ups between the LA Dodgers and Washington, or NY Mets and Florida wouldn't generate enough ratings in such large markets. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/eyes.gif

Edit: Nice to see the Cubs kicking the ball around again and allowing extra runners to score. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Joe Buck and Co. are so bored with this game that they're doing nothing but talk to John Smoltz for a whole inning.

Looks like the Pirates are starting to play some good baseball just in time for the Brewers to arrive in town. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

Their tied 6-6 with Houston in the 11th after pounding them last night 12-5.

Sure the Pirates are heating up, but so are the Brewers. I'm not worried about the Pittsburgh series; we'll go 2-2 at worst.

I Agree. I'm not too worried about the Pitts. series either. Brewers are absolutely Mashing right now.

I just wanted to point out that the Brewers never seem to play teams when their struggling, It seems like they always catch teams when their hot.

The Pirates should be pretty worn out by the time we get them on Monday, they're going into the 17th inning now vs. the Astros.

Lets go Bucs, get this one done...even if it takes you 25 innings.

Tavaras just gave Houston the lead with an RBI base hit in the 17th, 7-6 Houston.

Edit: And Castillo just tied the game with a homer in the bottom of the 17th.

I'm actually hoping it goes further, it looks like Victor Santos, whose scheduled to pitch against the Brewers on Monday, will come in to go the rest of the way. If it gets to the 18th.

Edit: And they go to the 18th, and Victor Santos indeed comes in to pitch. Nice that the Pirate Bullpen is overworked, and now they have to use a starter.

Only a combined five players have yet to participate in this marathon.

Houston

Oswalt

Nieve

Borkowski

Pittsburgh

Duke

Perez

....Jason Bay with a leadoff walk and then advances to second on a WP. This could be almost over.

I'm listening to the Astros/Pirates on MLB radio.

Looks like the Pirates are about to win it. Corners, no outs in the bottom of the 18th.

How do you throw a WP on an intentional walk? Must be past Gallo's bedtime.

Edit: Pirates win! gotta like seeing Houston lose, I guess.

This is nothing but good for the Brewers. Isn't vampire supposed to start on monday?

EDIT: game over. bucs win 8-7 in 18. wow.

Bay with a so-so hit, but I can't believe Munson dropped the ball before Bay even got there. Was out by 5-10 steps, and he dropped it. I couldn't believe they even send Bay home
