Orlando Hudson anyone?

Just checked the list of Free Agents and realized this guy is available. The DBacks are not going to have him back for 2009 and with the struggling Weeks on our team, he will be an upgrade. If they signed Hudson, I'd trade Rickie Weeks for a few spare parts to round out our 40-man roster. Hudson may be 31, but Weeks is not that far away at 26. You think Hudson would demand 10 mil or more per year?

I do like your idea of Hudson and I think 8 mil a year would be good and we could move weeks or package him with some others.

Hudson is a perfect example of why we should just hold on to Weeks. Hudson is a quality player now, but as a 25 year old he put up a line of 268/328/395/723. He wasn't even as good as Weeks then.

Its very possible that Weeks will be better than Hudson over the next 3 years.

No they wouldn't, but there's no reason to trade him for minor league fodder either.
