MiLB.com's Lisa Winston is a big Lorenzo Cain fan, getting in touch with him every so often including for this profile interview.

 

Cain is one of three top prospects they've invited to Lansdowne, Va., to participate in next week's MLB Rookie Career Development Program.

 

OK, so we need to know the other two invitees now. We'll poke around.

 

Lorenzo has to be one of the easiest players to root for in the system. Humble beginnings, both on and off the field, unassuming and respectful, not just in this interview, but in all the prior articles we've seen.

Nice interview. Cain has been growing as one of my favorites. 2010 should be a very interesting year for prospects hitting the bigs...

"Rock, sometime, when the team is up against it, and the breaks are beating the boys, tell 'em to go out there with all they got and win just one for the Uecker. I don't know where I'll be then, Rock but I'll know about it; and I'll be happy."
