Paul Bako to the Cubs

It always seems like the former Brewers backing up C for the Cubs do a number on us. Better him than Javier Valentin, I suppose.

 

Obviously I'd rather see Bako than Soto, but I got a bit of a nausesous feeling when I saw this.

Yeah. I've seen enough of Henry Blanco.

I wonder where Blanco will go. Paul Bako sure sucks, not sure why anybody would care that the Cubs signed him (his career OPS against Milwaukee is .577, compared to his career .622 overall). Unlike Blanco, he's not even good at defense. He'll help the Cubs lose some games, which is good for Milwaukee.

I imagine Soto will be making a Kendall-like number of appearances this year.

He was released today, Koyie Hill will get the backup gig for the Cubs.
