Cheap Minneapolis hotels?

My band is playing some shows in the Twin Cities and we're hitting the Saturday game of the Twins/Brewers game during Memorial Day weekend. Anyone know of any hidden gem hotels? We don't need any luxuries... we really just need some clean beds that are preferably close to the action in the city. Price and location are key.

The Homewood Suites by me, in Eagan, had a sign up for 24.99. I think they are similar to those extended stay inns. You would be 10 minutes from the light rail which can take you to the dome and had free parking..or about 20 minutes by car.

I went on Priceline and ended up at the Hilton in Minneapolis for right around $40-$50 last season. The key is you have to try naming your own price, you can then pick the general area and if you select 2 stars and up you can find a decent hotel.

Drove by this morning..it is the Homestead Studios/Inns

Looks decent on the outside and it is a nice/business area so its not too loud.
