Graffanino DFA'd

[DHonks]

Is he better than McGehee or is he too old? He sure was nice with us last time around Edited May 29, 2009 by support

Not sure if he's better or not, but I get the feeling we'd use him more than some of our bench guys, McGehee included. In that sense, I'd look into him for sure.

Haha, my mom could break out her Graffy t-shirt again as well!

Does anyone know what positions Catalanatto can play still at at least a decent level? I believe he's out there as well. I gotta think Nelson's days are numbered. Maybe we just bring up Iribarren, who looks to be doing pretty well in AAA and offers versatility and speed, two crucial traits for a bench guy imho.

He might be a little better than McGehee. I'd just as soon give Adam Heether (who just voluntarily moved to AA to get more ABs and presumably work on playing shortstop) a chance though, as he's probably more versatile and hit better than both of them in AAA last season.

Graffy is old and his numbers dont look that great but I do think he is worth taking a chance on. He played pretty good for us 2 years ago. He can play the infield and in LF.

No big surprise. The Indian fan base aren't very pleased with him.

While he did make some solid contributions to the Brewers when he was here, he was still a fairly marginal player at that point. I can't see any real good reason to bring him back now.
