I jump in the shower and come back to this. That Kendall to Suppan missed flip after the WP was positively Keystone Kop-esque.

I had the feeling that after we didn't bring more runs in the 1st and 2nd something like this would happen before too long. Hopefully there won't be too much blood loss (just one more out, come on) because these guys can still be had with this lineup and Marshall and this pen, and like I said last night, we gotta kick the Cubs while they're down because they won't be forever.

Brenly is really going at Braun today. In his first at bat he says something to the effect of "Braun is becoming public enemy #1 for Cubs fans. Not only because of all the big HR's he has hit, but also for the antics after he hits those HR's."

Yeah, because there are no Cubs that ever engage in any "antics" in any situation.

I know it stinks that we had an early lead and gave it up and also have blown several more scoring chances, but this game is far from over. Don't go anywhere folks!

Hopefully the dam breaks and we start pushing some of these multiple runners across before the offense dries up completely. I feel like we should've put up a five spot on Marshall by now.

I feel much better about our team on both sides of the ball in late innings than I have the last few years, but with Marmol lurking I'm still hoping we make our run earlier than later and take control back.

The Cubs announcers both television and radio are just awful. I have had many favorites from today already. With Soriano up Brenly says that he does not think Suppan has a pitch to get Soriano out and that Soriano can only get himself out. The best part is Soup than throws a good inside pitch that jams Soriano into a pop out but he makes no statement about that at all. At least you are wrong.

After today and yesterday, I feel like any and every pitch could potentially be called a ball. Today is not nearly as bad as yesterday though - at least there is some consistency

There was absolutely no reason for JJ to have a throw like that. He was standing on top of 2nd and Rick hit him in the chest with the flip. Not saying he would have gotten Milton, just saying...

Why do I even bother watching a Cuzzi umpired game? Worst ump in baseball hands down and he hates the Brewers. It's like Brenly is behind the plate.
Brenly would just put a cheeseball into play and our hitters would chase every pitch

That strike 3 to Fielder hasn't been a strike all day.

That said, Marshall has settled in nicely and all we are doing is popping up his loopy curveballs and slow other stuff. Hopefully we can get to him or someone in the bullpen before we have to face Marmol.

All in all not that bad of a start from Soup. Not a great line-up matchup for him with the likes of Soriano, Hoffpauir, Bradley, and Fontenot. We need to get more than 2 runs off Marshall and co. anyhow
