Well I chalk this loss up mostly to the terrible outing by McClung, but they wasted a few prime opportunities.

There was no way he was going to do anything with that pitch. In fact, I would have been surprised if he would've made contact. It was easily, easily a ball.

Not a horrible result because Marmol threw for 4th day in a row. Heilman threw 21 pitches and Gregg got up. Zambrarano very rarely goes more than 7 so this could bode well tomorrow if Soup can go six and keep it under 5 runs allowed.

Would've been easy to just die when it got to be 9-2, but at least they kept at it in the late innings and managed to have chances to crawl back into the game. Start over with a clean slate tomorrow.

Wasted opportunities, but definitley McClung was just bad, and compounded by Smith throwing one 89 down the middle to the only Cub hitter who can seriously hurt you.

I right now have o confidence in Suppan going 5 tomorrow . The Brewers just don't seem to want to stay in first with Company.
