I figured with that home run Counsell had to be nearing a career high in home runs. Yet, when I looked it up to my shock, awe, amusement, and horror, he had a year where he hit 9.

Yeah, Counsell hit 9 in '05, though he had a career high for ABs as well, so it makes some sense.
