Still a fan of this lineup. Let's hope the Brewers finally hit rock bottom last night and today is the dawn of a new winning streak.

Is Dave Kerwin playing tonight for the Buccos?

Isn't he the pitching coach? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

C'mon Lopez... Go in HARD or get in a run down at least!!!
He's not going to go in hard when he zero chance to score - that would be pointless. Counsell did get to third on the play, so rundown wasn't necessary.

Except it could have got Braun to second... Although I am sure they would have walked Prince...

Yeah, no kidding. Now instead of 2-0 with two RBI's for Prince, it's only 1-0. This looks kinda familiar to last night...
I don't think you can look at it that way. If Lopez stays on third, you can't assume that the same result occurs.

At the same time, it may not have gotten Counsell to third. He may have had to stay at second... you can't really blame anyone there. He was obviously going on contact and it was hit in just an awful place.

I was basing it off the fact that if Lopez stayed at 3rd, and Counsell at 2nd, then Braun would've made the second out at first and not Lopez at home. Therefore, Prince would've had guys on 2nd and 3rd instead of 1st and 3rd. Seeing as he got a base hit (it's a pretty safe bet to assume he gets one anyway, considering his RBI total and batting average) it could've been 2-0.

Except they may have walked Fielder if he came up with runners on 2nd and 3rd.

Exactly. Or maybe Vasquez pitches around Prince. There's no way to know if he gives Prince something to hit...kind of like the butterfly effect.
