I know I'm in the minority, but I wish TGJ was still on our team. A left handed bat who can play CF... We've got enough power on this team to get away with a few slap hitters.

I've been in DC for about the last week, I see not much has change since I've been gone.

Getting beat down by the Padres, geez...

Maybe the Brewers should petition the league to institute the 10-run rule in their games not pitched by Gallardo.

We'd still only be .500.

i agree wish the Crew would have held onto TGJ a bit longer but you know he didn't do well in his call ups and is not paid like the Great Billy Hall.

if tou're into small samples.

Bill Hall has a home run tonight

The Padres have set a season high with 18 hits. Their previous high was 17, also against the Brewers.

You know, to be positive, we are very good lately at helping teams set marks for themselves. Nationals, Dodgers, Padres.

Seriously, like professionals.

I have the feeling that STL could play .400 ball the rest of the year and it still wouldn't make any real difference to the position of the Brewers in the standings.

Pathetic. Just pathetic. I understand why we are not unloading players to give the perception we are still in the race and sell tickets. But who are they fooling?

On the bright side, tickets are going to be cheap and plentiful the rest of the year for those of us who *gasp* actually go to games when the team isn't playing well, unlike the new "fans" the team has gotten since '07.

The nerve that there are people out there with chief interests in other areas of life, but that still enjoy good baseball enough to attend games and spend money on it, yet dislike rotten baseball enough to spend their time and money elsewhere. The nerve of those people.....

I really can't fault anyone for losing interest in this team, frankly I'm astonished that the stadium is still filling up as much as it is with how pathetic we've been in July/August.

Tons of public money for a stadium, promises that we'd be competitive, years and years of terrible finishes that yielded top draft picks, a higher payroll with lots of cheap talent for DM to work with ..... and it looks like we've peaked with an 83-79 season followed by a 90-win season that was entirely due to riding a rented mule that pitched out of his mind for two months. Ouch.
