Sexson?

If the Orioles are unable to get a bat through free agency, they could also explore one in a trade. The Mariners' Richie Sexson and the Reds' Adam Dunn are among the players who might be available at the right price. Baltimore Sun

I'd love to have Richie back in Milwaukee. Any thoughts on his ability to play left (I can't imagine he'd be any worse than Dunn) and have Hall or Hart play center?

I'm not a God. Just a man. A man who would prefer to not play statues in the OF. Sexson was a bad OF when he was a young man with the Indians. I'd hate to see what he would do out there in his 30s.

But to give you the answer you were looking for, there is absolutey nothing stopping a team from trading for Sexson and playing him the OF, so by that rationale it is completely possible for the Brewers to go in that direction.

From what his stats read, Richie can barely play first anymore. No way is the outfield an option. Prince would be a better leftfielder. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/embarassed.gif

Honestly, I would say, given the way Prince moved last year, I could imagine Prince being an average left fielder, defensively. That said, Prince, as a low-A prospect, unseated Sexson atop the Brewers' first base depth chart. Prince the MLer isn't going to be taken off the busy corner anytime soon.

My guess is that Fielder would likey be a better defensive outfielder than 1B for the next three to five years. After that probably not. But his height really limits him at first.
