Idk why everyone is so concerned with Axford being in here. He only threw 27 pitches yesterday, and hadn't thrown since Wednesday before that. Plus, we have an off-day tomorrow.

nice approaches by Brewers' hitters tonight...being content with singles instead of always swinging for the fences. I've always thought the teams that tried for singles and doubles wound up hitting homers, while teams that try for homers strikeout. Pitchers often times get more upset by bloopers and bleeders than crushed homers.

 

And Manny threw his fastball with command AND a purpose today. When he does, few can touch his stuff.
