Anyone play vintage base ball? (Yes, two words in lexicon)

I don't play, but I've watched base ball at Old World Wisconsin. That was before they had practically this little mini-league going, though.

That's amazing.....they referred to the catcher as a "behind", and that's 150 years before Johnny Estrada! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Have you ever seen Conan O'Brien's adventures playing vintage base ball? Hilarious.

I had not seen that before. Very funny stuff. Usually Conan's stuff just isn't my cup of tea.

Conan the laugh-barian! I love him. I don't play vintage ball, but I know the guy who set up the Eagle Diamonds (very cleverly named - don't miss the story of the actual diamond). Here is the link to the Vintage Base Ball Association, under which the Diamonds play. I had a chance to play once this year, but didn't have enough time to get there. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

So if anyone's really interested, and want 'the hook-up', I could contact the organizer, fwiw.
