Diego and Kottaras in the lineup today:

Weeks 4

Hart 9

Fielder 3

Braun 7

McGehee 5

Edmonds 8

Escobar 6

Kottaras 2

Wolf 1

Lofty goals for today: 1) score a run, 2) avoid the sweep.

thablingster, I know the Reds' announcers' comments on Wednesday were amusing, but that signature of yours is bad mojo, and the Brewers are manufacturing enough of their own already.

But otherwise I agree with your rock bottom goal of scoring a danged run. Come on, Brewers.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I'll make you a deal, hawing. If we get shut out again today I will change my signature. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Win-win.

Seriously, do we have to lower our expectations further to "don't get no-hit by Wesley Wright"?

That was a beautiful play by Escobar. He has shown flashes of brilliance at short, and I'm still holding out hope that he can bring a bit more consistency.

I'm in the chat room after failing for a couple days. If anyone is motivated, it might work now.

That's some bad luck there. Wolf was pitching well and gets pegged right in his wrist. Lets go, Loe.

I'll agree with Jordan Schelling here:

This inning is not unlike the #Brewers season as a whole. Just when things are going right, they go wrong, and fast.

I'd say unbelievable, but something like this has happened to us enough this year it has become believable. Sigh.

Worst part is that the grand slam would've been a flyout at just about any other park. I really hate those cheap LF home runs in Houston.

I don't think it's possible to say it any better than Schelling did right there.

This series is embarrassing, and so is this team.

The Brewers now have the same playoff odds as Houston--statistical elimination and less a than 0.1% chance.

I know some of the bad this year is talent-related, but some of it is just plain breathtakingly bad luck. Man.
