Considering how good Ubaldo has been, we will play the tempered expectations game today! Moral victories in this game include: 1) get a hit, 2) score a run, 3) knock Ubaldo out of the game by the 7th inning. The wildcard moral victory is a quality start by Manny. Lets get it done!

 

I would not be surprised to see Counsell start at SS today as Macha might try to stack the lineup with left handed bats.

This matchup may look close on paper, but in reality, I think Colorado should be slightly favored.

Parra will pitch a gem through 5, then blow-up in the 6th and get pulled in the middle of the inning for Coffey who will then go on to give up a few more runs. All of this will happen after we actually hit well off Ubaldo. Thus, we will still lose the game after Parra and the Brewers once again gets our hopes up only to crush them once again.

Yeesh, if you want an example of how straight Parra's fastball is, the replay of that RBI double is probably a good place to start.

 

I've been a big supporter of Manny longer than most, and while he's always seemed to have bad luck when it comes to the defense behind him, this mess is his own. Hopefully he can get out of it tied.
