To be fair, $30 million is a lot to give for a guy who might not even end up being a starter. It's definitely fun watching him dial it up to 104 out of the bullpen, but the odds of him being able to do that while pitching 6 or 7 innings doesn't seem likely. He was walking 4.9 per 9 innings in Louisville. As a starter, that went up to 5.27 BB/9.

 

I fully expect them to try him in the rotation next year, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him struggle once teams start to figure him out.

I thought Jonathan Lucroy was Ryan Braun once, based on the low/no-definition picture quality. Also, the numbers on the Brewers' uniforms look like they're edged in neon light. My goodness. Or, WMLW's badness.

Macha pisses me off. Narveson has a 2 hit shutout going through 6.1 IP, and then he walks a batter and gets pulled? He only had 97 pitches. He could've easily gotten out of the inning with a comfortable pitch count.

I can't wait for the season to be over, then we can fire macha, trade prince for starting pitching, and get rid of $40 million in payroll.
