Maybe he's the cheap lefty the Crew have been looking for. Hasn't been great but for one lefty batter a game, seems like a reasonable pickup.

He seems to have lost 2 mph on his fastball and has been serving home runs to left and right handers.

Lefties are only hitting .216 off him, it's been righthanded batter who have destroyed him.

There are only 53 games left. I think they could find a way to not throw him in 24 of these games.

That's why I said "possible". My main concern is that if he's the only lefty out there it could happen.

Sure but he still walked 5 in 10.1 innings against LHers and has given up 2 home runs while only striking out 7.
