2012 Season!

Happy new year, fellas.  The rec department has started mailing out the league/renewal information for the 2012 season.  We have until mid-February to get in and renew.  Shall we start a roll call below to make sure we're close enough to fielding a full team again this year?  At first glance the fees and rules look about the same as usual.  I can post more details later.

Overall, it looks like we're already up to 8 or 9 players, so we shouldn't have too much trouble filling our roster up to 12 or 13. I can start working on the renewal.

For anyone who hasn't played with BF.NET before and is interested, below is some basic info. Feel free to post here or PM me with any questions, etc.

 

- We play Thursday nights in the Bay View area. (Sijan Field)

- Games rotate between 6:30, 7:30, and 8:30 start tomes

- League usually starts around May 15th, lasts for 10 weeks

- Weather permitting, we'll do some weekend practices the weeks leading up to our first game

- It's a social league, not uber competitive

- Fees are a tad steep since we fly the flag of BF.NET and don't have other sponsors ... usually works out to about $42 per person

I don't think there's been an official BF.Net Madison team for a few years. The Milwaukee team was never directly affiliated with them, so I don't know anything about their status.

Tedaldtada29 is out because of another league on Thursday night. By my count, we're at 8 confirmed, 9 if Tyler's back. Who else from last year's team are we missing? It's not too early to start asking around and finding other guys so we can have a roster of 12-ish.

Schubert is confirmed "in", so 9 solid commits. I'll also ask porter.

 

 

EDIT: Porter is out ... can't do every Thursday, but said maybe as a sub if needed.

I believe there are only 4 original guys left and only 3 have shirts. It wouldn't matter if you didn't want to get a shirt, but either one is fine if you did.
