Sheepshead + Brewers = Good Idea?

Posted
We used to play leasters, but have now switched to mosters, which usually penalizes the person who had the best hand and still did not pick.

So how about a date and a place for the first one. I'm working late hours next week but pretty much anything during the week of June 10th would work for me.

I'm actually quite new to yahoo sheeps. Man, it is so frustrating to be a newbie. You get booted out of TONS of games before you get to play. ACK!

Anyway, I wish I still lived in Waukesha...a brewers/sheeps night would be great fun...

I'm totally down for a game at your place. If anyone plans on being on yahoo tonight, lemme know so perhaps we could get a brewerfan table going.

what are some of your guy's yahoo id's because i try to play sheepshead almost everyday on yahoo? Mine is weshelmsfan18. Yea, I know my name can make some people question my ability, but he was my favorite brewer and I still root for him for philly.

Currently, I live on the street where 794 ends in Cudahy

Hey, so do I.

I love Sheepshead. I play every Monday at the bar after softball. Call your ace, leasters followed by a doubler, each point is a nickel. Sheepshead + Brewers > Red Delicious + Mr. Pibb

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

I'd be up for some sheepshead in Waukesha.

Great game.

Love Doublers (only can double once though and you keep playing doublers then until they are used up)

also like cracks- if someone picks before you can pick and you think you can win you crack and the hand doubles

Crackbacks - after the crack if the partner of the picker thinks they can still make it they crackback and the hand doubles again.

Pots- If nobody calls hence becoming a doubler everybody puts in the base amount (we play for quarters), everybody also donates to the pot for a bump or if it is empty. Then if you have a hand you feel confident on before you pick up the blind you can call how many pots you want or stacks (we usually play with 5 players so one pot is $1.25). If you win the hand you get to walk away with how many pots you called. If you lose the hand you need to donate to the pot how many pots you called.

Big Blitzers and little blitzers- Not as big of a fan. But I played with these also where if you have the two black queens (big blitzers) or the two red queens ( little blitzers) you show them and the hand doubles.

Overall a great game with any rules. It would be fun to get together some time and mix the two.

If there are any people interested in Green Bay, or the valley, I'd love to host a game of 3,4, or 5 handed. But up here, in 5 handed, we play JD. No calling an ace.
