2012-06-12 Brewers (Greinke) at Royals (Mendoza), 7:10 PM CDT [Brewers lose, 2-1]

Well we seen the reason why we need to keep Grienke and also seen the reason why he will probably leave via FA.

But the biggest point is we Blame RR but with a pathetic bench he has to work with what do you expect.

Anyone could have managed that team last year, RR's true worth is what he does with this year's team, and so far, he has proven that he can't handle a crappy roster...

He does not know how to get the most out of what he has to work with.

Sadly, the injuries will mask his ineptness as a manager, they will be used as a scapegoat, and he will be around for at least another season.

He sure is good at coming up with cutesy little nicknames for the players who just love him as a coach though.

The worst thing about this season at this point, is that we are going to lose Greinke via trade or free agency.

I'm not sure I can stomach that thought, or where that will leave us next year.

My flight from Minneapolis landed just in time to hear K-Rod give up the winning run. Kinda glad I missed this one. I wouldnt be shocked to see ZG gone by the trade deadline.

Why on earth would Zack go back to KC? What was that reporter even talking about?

Well, I've been working on this "thirty pitches of terror" nickname for K-Rod, but tonight he only needed eight to dash hopes. There was a nice turnout of Brewers fans, even one with a Branyan shirsey; and the guys behind us from Ashwaubenon didn't start insulting us when they found out we're librarians.

The public address audio was out for part of the early innings, which was interesting. The Royals' knockoff mascot race is extremely lame (all hot dogs, with Ketchup, Mustard and Relish to distinguish them on the videoboard). When the audio was working, the announcer kept saying "MAR-tin" Maldonado instead of "Mar-TEEN," and he completely avoided the whole Norichika thing by just saying Nori Aoki.

I miss the hot-hitting version of George Kottaras. I also would have given Martin a chance to bat in the 9th, as being effective with two runners on appears to be his specialty. I do enjoy watching Zack pitch, though, apparently enough to travel states away to see it in person.

Ryan got more cheers than boos where we were sitting, though late in the game there was one guy who angrily shouted JUICER, just once. Not sure where his anger was the first few at-bats.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Mendoza's peripherals are pretty brutal. Zips actually projects him to have a K/BB ratio <1.

So, we should probably expect 6 IP, 5 K, 1 BB, 2 H, 1 ER out of Mendoza.

Remarkably close.

I bet after Fiers beat the Dodgers earlier this year, their fans talked about how Dodger batters are always under performing against bad starting pitchers.

I haven't read the whole thread but if you're talking about me, I'm not complaining. Just complimenting on how close his prediction was.

That makes even a staunch station to station big ball guy like me smile.

I cant even post in the right thread. Now that I finally understand thr expression, smh.
