Mendoza's peripherals are pretty brutal. Zips actually projects him to have a K/BB ratio <1.

So, we should probably expect 6 IP, 5 K, 1 BB, 2 H, 1 ER out of Mendoza.

The hawing household road trip to Kansas City is underway! We are staying in a hotel near the ballpark (as are other Wisconsinites, based on a peek at the parking lot cars) and hope to catch some of the Brewers' batting practice. I have no 80s gear to join in with their dress-up theme from yesterday, but I do have a ball-glove cap (purchased in the 21st century). Had I known they were going to go 80s, I would have 100% brought my circa-1987 Brewers painter's cap, which still exists.

Saw a billboard along the highway, and I wish we hadn't been at highway speed so I'd have time to snap it. It's a Royals ad which says EXPERIENCE next to a photo of Ned. :)

Anyone got messages for me to pass on to either the ex- or current Brewers, post them here!

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

So...you're saying we'll hit below the Mendoza line tonight?

When the only reason you're pitching is because Felipe Paulino can't start that says something. I think the walk-off to Prince was the last pitch Paulino threw as a Rockie.

Dear Crew,

My social and business calendar is filling up quickly this summer. If you want to keep your daiyl spot in the rotation, this road trip is the time to take positive steps to make it happen.

How come every time I tune into a game a "little" late, the brewers are always losing by a run?

Shhhheeeeeeeeesh!

I hate being reminded that we traded Odorizzi...

first time through the order and nobody has even hit the ball hard...........

Which one of the announcers said before the game that the Brewers offensive struggles were over? Was it Nelson or Rock?

I was going to say that it's nice to not have to watch the pitchers hit, but really, it pretty much feels like they are.

This is exactly the kind of pitcher we struggle against, so this is no surprise.

Do they ever charge the mound in Japan? I always wonder how different the game is over there.

I believe it's Korea, but same neck of the woods:
