Sorta ho-hum, but the Twins have a much bigger rotation crisis than the Brewers have (b/c the Brewers mainly lack long-term-proven experience, not necessarily quality or at least some strong potential) and the Twins have to bring in quantity as well as quality while keeping a major eye on payroll.

 

Kevin Correia & Mike Pelfrey, both signed before Christmas, don't amount to plumbing Todd Ritchie-type depths, but these aren't exactly high fliers, either.

I remember when Pelfrey came out of college. We picked Braun a few slots ahead of him. I liked Braun, but would have been happy with Pelfrey at the time. I thought he was going to be really good. He's been terribly mediocre.
