Going to hear from Evan Marshall now on FSN. Think he's got the stones to say he did it on purpose? Or what the umpire said to him after the first one?

RR, "Lohse hit them on purpose, no question about it."

Haha, get the man some blue font! At least he had a sense of humor.

I took that bit as he kinda ran two sentences together, but I could be wrong... my initial reaction was how you interpreted it, & I was surprised so I rewound & watched again. Ehh, hard to say how he meant it.

RRR - I think the at bat Luc had was probably the best at bat I have ever seen. After they smoke our guy. They bring in their closer and the first pitch he sees he hits a grand slam. There is no way an AB can get bigger than that.

My gosh, Gibson sounds like he's had a brain injury. Slurring his words a bit & just in general sounding... off.

Not surprisingly, he wrote it all off as 'it was just baseball' & 'I won't comment on that'

But, but, but.... He's a former player! He's tough and gritty....and stuff! These are the types of guys that make great managers.........

right?

Right????

:laughing

Evan Marshall:

"Tried to pitch inside and the ball got away and that's what I told the umpire".

Reporter: "Ok, well what about the second pitch then?"

Smirk, then "Same thing, ball got away".

So...according to him, he's trying to get the ball inside to get the out. Kinda contradicts Gibson saying he wanted to setup the double play.

Oh and now: "No, I wasn't trying to hit him". "I was surprised to get ejected without a warning".

I guess he can't come out and say he hit him on purpose, but come on man.

I took it as sarcasm the first time, but hit rewind and think he was still referring to Braun. Should have known RR doesn't have humor.

If it had been sarcasm, that would've been awesome

In response to his presser I just watched .. Ah got it. Both balls slipped and "got away" as you smile and giggle about it.

Yea, he sounded like a punch drunk boxer. That was bizarre to watch.

Bizarre is a great word for it. I've heard Gibson talk before as DBacks manager... I feel like I would've remembered if he sounds this way all the time. I mean, was the guy slamming Bud Lights between innings? Bizarre.

Bwaaaahahaha! I'm watching the game replay right now. That grand slam by Luc might just be the greatest thing I have ever seen.

God, I love karma!
