Honestly I think after the first one the second one is probably a good thing. Just make it 1st and 10 again rather than multiple tries to run the clock down at 1st and 5.

I would beg for a FG attempt. Even a 6 point deficit isn't bad and forces us to go for the win rather than tie. I'm much more afraid they'll go for it and make it.
