of jonathan davis contract selected

took a while for it to appear on the brewers.com transaction page, but it's there now, and it happened a few weeks ago.

jonathan davis has been signed to a minor league contract and has been invited to spring training. if added to the 40-man roster, he is out of minor league options, and has been outrighted before.

there are six non-roster invitees for 2022 camp.

I would not get your hopes up.  He's 30 and has a career OPS of 531 with a OBP of 279.  He's basically a slightly better version of Cain this year.  I wish him well and you never know.  Today was a great start.

late bloomers happen. Most likely he's a AAAA guy, but you never know.

obviously a lot of pressure on jonathan davis to stay healthy, as he's the only true center fielder on the active roster. hopefully, he plays smart and avoids crashing into walls.
